There is only one Flock camera in my town and it's in the Home Depot parking lot facing inward from the street. Other than that one, there is none around my town. The surrounding towns have loads of them though.

My point is there is nothing to take pictures of. I cannot even express enough how rural we are. The vast majority of residents are Shwartsentruber Amish, nothing to see here.
And if our local law enforcement and politicians have any say, there will never be cameras.

My Home Depot has had a lot of theft and parking lot scammers in the past. Its also where the day laborer's hang out. maybe Home Depot requested it as well as lowes.

If they're on the property of the gun store or range, then the owners of that store or range gave consent. In that case, I say they need to be boycotted and go out of business. If they're on a public easement, it wouldn't surprise me if they fell over and broke in some weird weather event late at night (as they should).
I know if anyone found one outside my club entrance, some weird weather event would almost certainly occur that night.

You should also be aware that Flock cameras now sniff for WIFI and Bluetooth MAC addresses from your phone and will now associate your phone with your vehicle through its wireless sniffing technology to create a vehicle fingerprint for vehicle and driver together. If you don't need a wireless connection in your vehicle while driving, then shut it off or put it into Airplane mode! Use your car built-in GPS. Use apple or google maps offline mode, you can force Waze to use offline mode too.

There is a MASSIVE difference between a security camera watching a register or an aisle of a store and a camera that can be accessed by any law enforcement agency at any time for any reason that has captured the license plate, make, model, color of a vehicle and all the electronic signatures inside that vehicle along with time stamp and the ability to track every location of that vehicle going back months.

99% of people realize that having a video camera on CCTV or a cloud for security at a cash register is NOT the same as what flock or similar systems are doing. In fact it's one of the few issues that is uniting people that those on the left and right all agree flock sucks and it should be illegal surveillance and data collection.
People need to understand that you Re being tracked and surveilled without a warrant or your permission, or you even so much as opting in on terms and conditions. You have no choice or say in the matter of you are driving on public roads that have flock on them. Your habits are tracked, your travel patterns are tracked, your vehicle is tracked, your vehicle markings and bumper stickers are tracked, flock is now picking up your cell phone and any associated Bluetooth devices to your cell phone and car. it knows who you are with when you are with them. All of this data is being fed into giant searchable databases that AI can filter through and predict your behaviors and law enforcement can abuse without a warrant. This should be outrageous. What until the Republicans lose control over the next couple election cycles and the Democratic socialists start to gain more power and what they do with these systems. Its the framework of dystopian big brother.

That will confuse generic ALPR cameras but opens you up to an obstructed plate violation. Flock doesn't need the plate, it can tell color make and model as well as unique things about your vehicle like dents, roofracks, stickers, etc and catalogs that as well.
The only way to stop this is to make unobstruction/replacement/repair of cameras such a burden the municipality does not want to deal with it but that has legal ramifications as well.
