No. It makes perfect sense from Carney’s perspective. He’s a Euro-centric globalist. He doesn’t care about Canada, except as a resource to be leveraged.
Europe will off-load their unwanteds to Canada. In exchange, Europe will mine and extract as much of Canadian petroleum, lumber and ores as possible.
And Canadian liberals will believe they’re one step closer to socialist utopia.
Added Bonus: Canada is kept out of the hands of America.

So we all know the next step is to start flooding Canada with africans and arabs. Only the most inbred will do! So I wonder if, say, the Premier of Alberta might request help from the US in seceding from Canada. Wouldn’t THAT be something? I mean, it’s almost certainly not going to happen, but things are about to get worse up north and I know the people of Alberta didn’t want any of it from the start.

Maybe Alberta pulls a Texas.

What would be the Canadian Alamo ?

Imagine if they called for American militia to join them in the fight. Who would be the next Davy Crockett ?

This won't end well...

He discusses things like how Canada canceled the purchase of US F-35 to buy Swedish Griffin jet (elbows up). The Griffin runs on an American General electric jet engine. Any purchase of a Griffin from anywhere in the world requires a license from Washington when they buy it.

In the first meeting of the two-day Nato summit, Donald Trump said Germany was 'totally controlled by Russia' because of its energy dependency. At a breakfast briefing with Nato representatives, he said: '[Germany] will be getting up to 70% of its energy from Russia and a new pipeline ... you tell me if that is appropriate because I think it is not.' Trump is in Brussels on the first leg of a six-day European trip. Angela Merkel hit back at Trump's comments, saying 'I have experienced myself how a part of Germany was controlled by the Soviet Union. I am very happy that today we are united in freedom'

Guess they should have helped when Trump called for allies to stop Iran.

Did they think their oil would be immune just because they didn't send ships ?

British Justice System – Five Terrorists Detained at RAF Fairford Base Released on Bail

The suspects, who are all British nationals aged in their twenties and from London, were arrested over potential terror offences in Whelford, Gloucestershire, in the early hours of Sunday.
“To be very clear, this does not mean that the investigation is over. They are subject to stringent conditions on their movement and contact with others. They absolutely remain under investigation as we explore multiple lines of inquiry.”

British Justice System - Five Terrorists Detained at RAF Fairford Base Released on Bail - The Last Refuge

This sounds absolutely nuts to me, but the U.K police have released on bail the five suspected terrorists caught outside RAF Fairford military base. Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor delivered a statement outside Scotland Yard explaining the current status. WATCH: “We have, as you would...

“If the European automakers cannot purchase Chinese EV carbon credit certificates, the fines levied by Brussels against gasoline powered autos will destroy the EU auto business.”

Europe asks China to voluntarily limit exports (mostly autos) to the European Union. Europe doesn’t want to get China angry with them about this issue. However, China is sending massive numbers of EVs into Europe. Europe is losing its auto business. I couldn’t figure out why the EU didn’t take an aggressive/confrontational position.
Then I was reminded. Europe cannot force Beijing through a trade action (tariffs, ban, EU limit etc.) because Beijing might stop selling them EV carbon credits. If the European automakers cannot purchase Chinese EV carbon credit certificates, the fines levied by Brussels against gasoline powered autos will destroy the EU auto business.

Europe Asks China to Voluntarily Limit EV Exports - The Last Refuge

I was quite confused by this distinctly European approach until I had dinner with a Chinese actuary working in the auto warranty insurance industry. Europe asks China to voluntarily limit exports (mostly autos) to the European Union. Europe doesn’t want to get China angry with them about this...

The thing about statements like that is, you don't need to repeat them if they're true.

So, the more often you hear them, the less true they are. Someone's trying to convince you it's true by sheer repetition, but if it was true it would be obvious and wouldn't need to be stated at all.

Sort of like the "I am the king" line.
