No. It makes perfect sense from Carney’s perspective. He’s a Euro-centric globalist. He doesn’t care about Canada, except as a resource to be leveraged.
Europe will off-load their unwanteds to Canada. In exchange, Europe will mine and extract as much of Canadian petroleum, lumber and ores as possible.
And Canadian liberals will believe they’re one step closer to socialist utopia.
Added Bonus: Canada is kept out of the hands of America.

So we all know the next step is to start flooding Canada with africans and arabs. Only the most inbred will do! So I wonder if, say, the Premier of Alberta might request help from the US in seceding from Canada. Wouldn’t THAT be something? I mean, it’s almost certainly not going to happen, but things are about to get worse up north and I know the people of Alberta didn’t want any of it from the start.
