Elon Musk Sets Record Straight, Ukraine Was Violating Starlink Terms and Using It to Guide Weapons into Russia
Elon Musk has just delivered a clarifying statement on X platform, outlining what many suspected.
Ukraine was using Starlink to attack Russia, that was never allowed. Ukraine was authorized to use Starlink to defend itself inside Ukraine and communicate on the front lines of battle. However, Ukraine military leadership weaponized their access to Starlink and began using it as an offensive missile/drone guidance system. That was stopped.https://theconservativetreehouse.co...2026/10/Elon-Musk-and-Vladimir-Zelenskyy.jpeg

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of se…
Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.

Im clearly not for this war , and have sided more with the Russians , but this is ridiculous.
You can use starlink to kill Russians here, but not over there, those are the good Russians. WTF? You can hit Moscow but you cant hit the refinery's
in other words Elon Musk must approve of your target lists .

Russia will not lose this war and it will not end it looking like it lost. A number of Ukrainian politicians are now having the second thoughts about the course they are on. Not so in Russia. If anything people want to see more retaliation against countries that supply weaponry to Ukraine or allow their airspace to be used to attack targets inside Russia.

A Good Point About the Problem that Zelenskyy is Creating
Elon Musk responded to an account on the X Platform [SEE HERE] that made a good point about how Zelenskyy’s unauthorized use of Starlink commercial satellites can create a downstream issue that is not being discussed.
FilmLadd – “Analysts who have been bashing Elon Musk for days over this don’t get it. Russia has the capacity to blow up satellites in space. They proved this on November 15, 2021, by firing a PL-19 Nudol missile at an old satellite of their own.
The impact created a large debris cloud—more than 1,500 trackable fragments plus hundreds of thousands of smaller pieces. The International Space Station was forced to implement safe-haven procedures: the seven-person crew (including Russian cosmonauts) sealed hatches and sheltered in the docked Soyuz and Crew Dragon spacecraft for several hours as the debris cloud repeatedly crossed their orbital path.
If Russia decides that the civilian Starlink satellite network is weaponized and fair game, we risk a serious Kessler syndrome. First modeled by NASA’s Donald Kessler and Burton Cour-Palais in 1978, it describes a scenario in which the density of objects in low Earth orbit gets so high that collisions start producing debris faster than natural processes (mainly atmospheric drag) can remove.
Each collision creates more fragments, which raise the odds of further collisions, leading to a self-sustaining cascade, a runaway cloud of satellite debris that can make certain orbital bands increasingly hazardous.
Space could become unusable for years to centuries.
You like driving around with GPS? Starlink MUST remain a civilian entity.” [source]

If Russia wipes out LEO with a Kessler syndrome type situation, then NATO will have to react in a similar way they would to a nuclear attack.A Good Point About the Problem that Zelenskyy is Creating

I.e. Eliminate Russia's offensive ability.
If he starts taking out Starlinks *without* wiping everything in LEO, then Musk can put new ones up faster and cheaper than Russia can shoot them down.
A Kessler syndrome situation is bad for EVERYONE.
seems like a really stupid and poorly thought out plan.

It is bad for nearly everyone. But it is not *equally* bad for everyone. It's not inconceivable that someone might decide the pain they will feel is worth it for the greater pain they will cause someone else.
Kessler syndrome would affect the 1st world far more than the 2nd of the 3rd.
Very true. Fair point.
The 3rd world countries might not even know it happened.
But it could be significantly impactful for advanced countries.

Russia never shot them down because its a direct strike on NATO. If they can fuck them up and have some plausible deniability , that could be an option . but your treading a fine line, because if NATO decides it was a deliberate attack , they could respond harshly. the smart thing to do is just what they ve been doing , leave it alone, its a trip wire.
There is a new theft scheme uncovered in Ukraine. Some of the military units were stealing drones that were issued to them. These drones were sent to a shop where serial numbers and markings were obliterated and new markings were stamped on. Then these drones were sold again as a new equipment. Stolen funds were invested in gold and silver. Pretty cool. SLAVA UKRAINE!
So is U.S., but Ukraine sets the record.

Remind me again why the russian invasion initially stalled ? Oh, yeah, because none of the fuel that was on paper was actually real.
Still, could be worse. China had the rocket fuel from their ICBMs stolen and replaced with water LOL.
OfC, Russia might have that problem too. Would be real embarrassing if Putin tried to start WWIII and the missiles ran out of gas as fast as his invasion did LOL.

Ukraine carries out first ever aerial drone evacuation of a wounded soldier from the frontline
Ukraine has conducted the first unmanned drone evacuation of an injured soldier in the history of warfare. The infantryman, callsign 'Kostya', was wounded while alone in position on the eastern Kharkiv front.
As he was surrounded by Russian kamikaze drones and the terrain was heavily mined, he could not be safely evacuated by a rescue team or ground vehicle.
So, as a last resort, commanders turned to a new piece of kit – a heavily modified bomber drone.
Incredible footage shows the serviceman from the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade strap himself to the Heavy Shot drone, which was piloted by ‘Chornyi' of the 30th Mechanised Brigade.
Clinging to a harness on the drone's underbelly, the 80kg soldier is then lifted into the sky and carried 18km (11 miles) away from the frontline to safety.
