I've actually read through this post. It seems to be a very contentious issue for those guys. Similar to the US Made vs Foreign Made AK rifles or the poverty vs Gucci AR world.
Fulton or LRB are definite considerations for me. It could be a good idea to build up a rifle instead of buy. If I was...
Looking to buy or trade for one of these. Anyone seen any around at their LGSs or listings?
Thinking if I dont find any ill probably have to resort to GB... :(
Also anyone have any experience with them? I'd honestly rather own one of thse then give Springfield Armory my money ♂️ plus its...
Looking for Everything listed above at sanish prices. Think what you paid plus maybe a covid tax.
For the M14/S I have a Romanian SAR2 in 5,45 Id possibly throw in the mix, German K98K, Uberti EL Patron, CZ Shadow 2, G19x and a small stash of reloading components. (Small rifle, small pistol...
Sig launched basically a stripped p320 "fire control unit" kinda like a stripped glock frame.
Its just the serialized part so no barrel, slide, grip or things that make go bang.
I know now that some counties frown upon/ refuse to register incomplete pistols. Just wondering if anyone has any...
Anyone know if Putnam will add this to a permit. I bought one and its on my way to my FFL, didn't even think about it.
Id assume I would just have my FFL make out the receipt as P320 9mm, which is what it is going to be. I'm guessing since they are brand new and limited no one knows, so I'll...
Interesting to hear that about gunworks. I actually had a few guys on K98KForum send me to them when I wanted to make a LSR K98k Clone.
Guess this and the fact they won't even touch my gun is reason enough to stay away.
Weirdly enough I did a ftf sale through them, bought a rifle from a guy...
Anyone know any shops in the Hudson Valley area that would even consider doing this? I've got a Saiga 7,62 I want to have threaded then use a front sight gas block on.
Thought about doing it myself, but that is not something I think can just be done on a bench.
Looking to sell my Type 99 Series 5 Nagoya Arsenal
Has a mismatched bolt, and a duffle cut/repaired crack at wrist stock making this a bringback rifle. Mum is present making it desirable in the Arisaka world. Comes with the Anti-aircraft sights and the dust cover. No monopod, but this is...
If this gun is over 50 years old it wouldn't matter if it was a fixed mag or not. Still transferable since the safe act allows for the transfer of "Antique," really C&R, firearms that would qualify as an "Assault Weapon."
Looking to add a 5.45 and 12Gto my collection. Have some milsurp guns and some modern handguns I'd trade if that is something you are interested in. Also would do cash if you want to sell it. Can be in sporter config, as imported, or converted fixed mag/compliant. Also interested in a Tigr if...
I've got a M1 Garand that, like my Enfield before it, doesn't fit in with my Collection. Its all SA parts with a lockbar rear sight and milled trigger guard.
$1050 Shipped or $1000 ftf
-P-38 Cxb 43 Hard shell holster - Looking to sell this holster I bought originally to rig my Bringback P38...
I gues the proper cause shit is probably just a deterrent, just like the entire handgun permit process in general.
Thinking about getting a new safe, any recommendations on that as well lol? Thinking of having one just for handguns as I'm beginning to amass some semblance of a collection.
With the letter I get hung up on "proper cause" any suggestions or even a form letter I can go off of? My background is clean, so I'm not worried about that.
Probably been asked and answered, but current process? Its been about 8 months since I got my permit. So submit paperwork, see judge? then profit?
Mostly wondering what the letter needs to contain. What's a good "live fire" course? I already have a safe.
Anyone done it recently?
Yeah I had a day off and was driving around across the river checking out all the LGSs over there and happened to walk in and found that under the glass. I think I still have the tag somewhere. I've literally never left a store and went to an ATM faster than that day... hahaha
Bought my first Russian Mosin last week, RGUNs PU Sniper. I've had 2 M39s, but needed a all Russian gun to round out my collection. Ain't no time like the present my friend, you've already got decent collection now, keep going!
Ask and you shall receive. My 42 toggle, 1940 Luger -all matching with 1 matching magazine. And my CYQ P38 2 correct mags, holster and bringback papers.
Is there a section on C&R rifles and handguns on this forum? I didn't see one at first glance. I'd love to see some of guns you guys have out there and maybe even make a few friends/contacts. Could be a good way to network as well.
Ill start with one of my recent acquisitions.
My bcd "a...
While we are on the topic of unrestricted. What is that process like in Putnam, I've currently got a Sportsman but its been well over 6 months. What exactly is proper cause. Wording is kinda vague on the page.
I guess what I mean is what is the best way to go about getting it done?
Yeah there app is 9000 pages long lol. When I did mine in Putnam last year I had 3 from putnam and 1 from westchester.
I definitely need to find out now if they have to be Westchester Residents for him. I'll take a look through their novel today.
I'll have him call. All of his references are from putnam actually. Didn't even think about that when it comes to Westchester. Do they care where your refs are from there?
That was my gut feeling since I know Putnam was pretty easy from my own experience. Now to try and convince him to do it. I don't really remember them asking for a proof of living their for 6 months, I mean he's lived there for 25 years before the last year lol.
One of my good friends finally wants to get his Permit, after talking about it for a while. He currently is living in Westchester at his parents second house, but his parents live and he lived in Putnam for most of his life. His DL currently is the Westchester address.
In your opinion should he...
I can't see why not. I think they all go into a pile when they get there. They also seem to try and keep people's paperwork together. Wouldn't hurt to email them though, they are pretty responsive.
When I got those last 2 amendments they were on separate forms, but when I received my paperwork...
