Build is on the way, picked up a lower assembly kit yesterday and ordered a spur+patrick henry from BulletGuy last night.
Next up, a fixed stock and complete upper. I think I want to go carbine, I would need to pair that with a particular buffer tube correct?
I see several options that look interesting. The spur grip and an enhanced trigger guard look like it might be decently comfortable given the legal restraints. Not a big fan of the super angled stock/grip setup, but those seem to be pretty popular as well. As far as triggers, holy cow there...
The easy money is on "nothing". We should be focusing on asking: why the hell can anyone walk into a school full of minors that are compelled to be there by the state?
The problem is that DC is a close-knit society. Republicans and democrats bicker in front of the cameras, but they're all at the same mixers and social events. Most of them have been there for ages. On top of that, since most politicians are corrupt, no one wants to rock the boat because they...
Honestly, there should be calls for him to step down. This is not different, in any way, than someone saying "I refuse to vote for the black guy, because he's black". Unacceptable, sanctionable and he needs to pay the price with his career.
The place was as busy as the mall on Christmas Eve. They told me people are basically hoarding AR parts now, they can't keep stuff on the shelves. They had a lower assembly kit. Is that worth getting (I think it was $65) or am I better off sourcing my own parts?
Checked out campsite, made an impulse purchase. I now own my first "firearm", a Spike's Tactical aluminum stripped lower. I guess I can start obsessing over parts now as I build huh? Good news is one of my co-workers has several AR's and can help me.
I had a feeling, that would most likely void the factory warranty. I sent the shop (linked earlier in this thread) an email to confirm and see what the story is.
Spoke with Bullet Guy, I'm going to hit up the shop next time I am upstate (usually once a month) and try out some stuff before he does a build for me. I'm really concerned about the grips, they all look incredibly uncomfortable with the NY compliance.
Awesome advice everyone, thank you! I will hit up Bullet Guy and check out my options. 2 of my co-workers are enthusiasts also, so hopefully I can hit them up tomorrow (one is a safety instructor as well, I should probably take his course).
Am I going to be better off finding a dealer that sells a complete NY-compliant or putting one together myself? I have ZERO experience with this stuff, but browsing around it seems like it's all about putting one together on your own.
I watched a few videos and it seems a bit above my...
What really got my goat was the fact that they demanded multiple references within the County all prepared within 60 days of each other. Is their position that if I don't know anyone around I am unable to exercise my rights? I wish they were this thorough when it comes to voting!
Hopefully I'll be out by Summer (house hunting). A few years back I had an application for a Dutchess permit, it was oppressively annoying and time-consuming. I abandoned my efforts.
Many of the terror incidents we have endured have come from second generation Muslim immigrants. It seems that the children are the most prone to resorting to extremism. Why, I have no clue.
Hey everyone, popping in here to read up a LOT before purchasing something. Considering the political climate, I figure I am better off getting in sooner than later. I'm stuck living in this State, so might as well find a way to make the best of it.
Looking to start with a rifle, then...
