Man arrested after shooting into a house while attempting to hunt for deer
I agree with the arrest, after all you are responsible for where the round goes, and I am glad that nobody got hurt. But, I wonder if the "significant damage in multiple rooms" is a stretch?
A new website for NYS political news has been created, based on the same design as the Drudge Report. It seems to lean towards NYC politics, but does have articles from other parts of the state. This may be a good resource to check and also to submit tips to...

Gov. Cuomo spoke to feds about ex-aide's corruption scandal
Cuomo was interviewed by the feds for the corruption probe against Joseph Percoco and there is a chance he may be called to testify.
I hope he is called to testify and while under oath is asked questions about his involvement...that...
I got a great deal on Remington 9mm at Field & Stream. 500 rounds for $4.80.
They were on sale for $10.98 a box, limit 10. I had the $25 off $100 BF weekend coupon that they mailed out a week before plus $30 in rewards dollars, followed by the $5 per box mail in rebate. Yes, I paid $4.38 sales...
Actually, the part about prohibited "On the grounds of a residential child care facility" is wrong. If you go to the regulation they use to support that, it says that "employees, volunteers, and consultants" will not possess firearms in the facility. There is no mention of visitors.

It's been obvious for quite a while that Progressive Liberals are very close minded towards other opinions whereas Conservative leaning people are more open to discussion and dialog.
In Steuben County, a friend put in his application almost 5 months ago and just got his interview. When I got my permit the wait was just under 12 weeks.
Anyway, this is second hand info, I have been told that the deputy who was on light duty and handling pistol permits went on maternity leave...
I may have to go with Speed Strips. I tried a safariland speedloader, but it won't work because it doesn't clear the grip on the Taurus 605. I'll have to do some research and see which speedloaders were specifically tested with the 605.
For a lot of info on these Chinese imports, check out Miklor Radio Information Site - Miklor . That site has technical info, reviews, info on the CHIRP programming software, and lots of other useful info.
The differences between the models are slightly more than just external looks. For...
That would have been a nice deal if I didn't just get a new M&P 9 for $360. Field and Stream Rochester had quite a few pistols on clearance and last week had an extra 10% off all clearance firearms.
Thanks for the input. I was already leaning towards the push button safariland because the idea of twisting a knob seems to be too fine of a motor skill to handle under pressure. Now, seeing so many who like them, I'm going to give them a shot.
I just got a Taurus 605 for my first foray into the world of revolvers and have discovered there are actually several styles of speedloaders - twist knob, push button, and slide off plus larger competition focused speedloaders. Not to mention the idea of speed strips...

I like the idea of a Gear and Accessories forum.
I'm not sure how Xenforo handles subforums (how many layers of forums) but perhaps subforums for gear and accessories underneath the Handguns and Long Guns forum.
News 8 Rochester is doing some kind of expose on the long wait times for Monroe county pistol permit applications. They've been blasting the previews all weekend and I see it's also the lead image on the facebook page. Currently, the 2nd video down on that feed is the promo for tonight.

Here's a full article, not behind a paywall: Hillary's nightmare scenario: Weiner's laptop holds 650,000 emails, thousands of them from Clinton's private server, and a search will take WEEKS. Democrat faces an ongoing FBI probe even if she's elected | Daily Mail Online
The 650,000 is the total...
It happens. I slowed down on posting over there due to web filtering at work. Trying to type a response on a phone is just not as easy. I'll have to wait and see if the proxy server gets updated and blocks this site.
I'll be the 3rd (or maybe the 4th) to praise Hank's Belts. I've been wearing a Hank's belt for almost a year, carrying a Shield with the AlienGear holster. The regular belt I used to wear was flopping over, obvious wear marks, holes deformed, etc - I see none of that with the Hank's belt. Yes...
Here's a question about this form.... I know the law says the ATF is not allowed to maintain data collected from purchases, which is based on the 4473. However, does that same law restrict storing data collected on this form?
Yep, I was doing a search on the NYS ammo background checks. A LGS owner that is closing shop said he just received an email that said the system will be running by January and that is one of the reasons he is getting out of the retail business. Needless to say, I haven't found anything to back...
I have a 2.0 and a 3.0. The 3.0 is more comfortable, I like that there is no metal from the screw studs exposed to the skin.
As everybody else has said, a good belt is crucial. I've been wearing this Hank's belt for almost a year and it has held up with no visible stretching of the holes...
I was pleasantly surprised by this jury's decision. What is also notable is that the jury was 9 women and 3 men and that one of the original jurors was removed because of stating at the beginning of deliberations that he is biased because he worked for the BLM years ago.
I found this site on Google when searching for something and see familiar names...now I feel left out! LOL
Don't worry, no hard feelings. I am glad another site popped up after seeing how anti-2A the new owners seem to be.
