It's easy to carry an extra mag in a pocket or pouch. My shoulder rigs allow me to easily and comfortably carry two spare magazines and it helps counterbalance the weight of the gun besides. I also always have a good pocket knife (Spyderco Para3 Lightweight) and a good flashlight (imalent ld70)
