I still need to explore ankle carry more. I would be doing it a G43 like you. My reasoning is much like yours, attire. I were a polo tucked into jeans with steel toed boots for work. So the only carry option I can come up with is ankle. I do mostly sit at a desk so drawing would be easy.

O have a buddy that has one. I really enjoy shooting it, but it isn't cheap. I like that is is a lot easier to hit targets at range. Also to me the big plus is the amount of energy it has when it hits down range. In any practical purpose you have to reload to really enjoy the caliber.

My guess is #3. The coating would have be WAY off to cause the problems you were having. Maybe the didn't size them, but I doubt that would have caused the problems you had.
