I actually have been to the Sherman tree. It was truly amazing. The crazy part is that tree is pretty small compared to the ones that were there when we got there.

No hijack on my end. That tree is a beast! We have one that's big but not that big. I shot countless squirrels out of it and one memorable deer. We have a huge poplar dad is trying to convince me to use (5' minimum diameter). I'm not convinced that's the wood I should use.
I dream about having...
Thank you. It has opened my eyes to finish carpentry. I grew up on the farm and helping people out doing the all the rough stuff. Roofs framing building sheds ect. I never had tried to make anything nice before, just functional.
I have about 6 other projects going we should make a thread for...
Ya it really lights everything up. They didn't want to stick to the finish of the press so I might have to figure something out in the future. If anyone is running a single stage I highly recommend using one of those auto ejects.
Yes one of them are in my future. I just have to spray foam and finish my second floor before the new baby needs it's own room. After that I hope to have enough money for one.
I might have to pick up some of these to reload. The only reason I posted it here was because the put the ribs in the gel. Neat idea not sure if it translates to anything.
I had a very bad experience with these guys! Long story short I refuse to spend any money with them, even though I lived a few miles from them. I agree with muttcat they are personable people but their work is awful.
I can't say too much but there are no kick backs from the manufacture. The reason they are so expensive is multi tiered. Material being a large factor. The reflective sheeting is crazy expensive. Also unless you've been around these signs you have no idea of the actual size of them. I've seen...
Some of the lumber turned into 4 saw horses and a sawing station. I picked up the saw already because it was about to rain. Tomorrow shelves will get made out of the remaining lumber.
I used one a few weekends ago. They work very well and hope to pick up one soon.
Pros
1. Mid range for price.
2. Acuurate and displays the information well.
3. Easy setup (there's a con with the setup also).
Cons
1. POI shift. But I agree not a huge deal depending on your intended use.
2...
I always liked the cheapos because they were so light and I could just use one arm. But now that I have a large lawn and a lot to do it wasn't cutting it. The nut that takes the head apart is seized hard. But I didn't try everything to get it apart either.
I think there's a big problem no of us addressing. I keep reading articles that claim white supremacists are alt right wingers. This can't be farthest from the truth. Historically they have been demacrats and still are. They keep pushing this agenda and we need combat it full force. We are not...
I run an 1187 in 20 guage. It's a great gun and never failed me. I'm in a family of FUDDs therefore I'm surrounded by shotguns. So I've shot just about every main manufacturers version. So heres my suggestion and its outside of you budget but you can't beat a benelli.
I've shot 2 this year with the 308 soft points. The round needled through them and didn't cause any noticeable damage. I was actually surprised the neither chuck twitched when they were hit.
I'm still looking for an ankle carry gun. I really wanted to stick with 9mm, but you guys have peaked my interest. What do you guys think a good option?
