I'm surprised it ran, with a shot like that. While gutting mine and processing the meat, I found that not only did I accidentally shoot both shoulders, but basically shot both joints apart, and shot the top half of the heart off. Mine dropped on the spot.

Yeah, @Robin I like Nikon's scope offerings, I've been considering that P-223 for my own AR. I have a P-308 and love it. Only thing I wish is that it was an M-308, haha. @meketrefe Do you need to use cantilever mount w/ that or just regular scope rings?

I saw a few, but none were good enough looks for a shot. Had two doe in this area, one was younger than the other and eating in the X, lot of overgrown stuff there, didn't have a good view or shot. The colored in bits were the other one, and every shot would have been threaded through these...

Can't wait to see how it turns out and make my own as well :D This is a great project that I've always wanted to do but never put much thought towards it.
