I actually had a friend that was thinking about something like this. He said what if his wife hires him as full time security for her and the kids then would he be able to carry in all of the sensitive locations if he's with them? I say it's a trap because I can see the state agents going into a...
I'm not sure how being appointed as armed security would work if you aren't licensed as armed security. Seems like a bad idea to me. Almost like they're setting a trap.
Nothing will come of it. If there's a ruling it will be stayed by the 2nd and they will never meet to make a ruling on it just like they have done with all the other cases. I'm done with the nonsense. And I'm done watching videos with click bait misleading titles.
Yes. They weren't on anyones radar. They had no idea we could cary anywhere we wanted. They thought that only celebrities and the political elite could do that.
no guarantee of that happening. They don't have a very good record of taking 2A cases. In fact they've taken very few (3 maybe?) in the prior many many many years. There is absolutely nothing saying they will take this just because they want to "get back" at the lower courts. I have more to say...
They never did anything. It was all an attempt to get standing. Last I heard that case kept getting bounced for problems with the paperwork they filed. Jokesters.
Make us do anything? They've already "made" quite a large number of people not carry anymore like they used to. I believe you had said this as well regarding church carry etc. So it's already been done. And as far as not enforcing it, that's what they told the court, but we know when the right...
Yep!
I don't know very much about this legal stuff but from seeing how they handled the TRO, saying they were getting a panel together asap to review and rule, then never actually doing anything or even meeting on it, I have a good feeling that this will stand as is for 6 months to a year or...
BREAKING: STAY ISSUED, ILLEGAL TO CARRY ANYWHERE AGAIN
We've seen their game plan already. Issue the stay then never actually meet to make a ruling. Pretty smart on them actually. They can effectively make the carry ban stay in force as law without ever actually ruling on it and needing to...
So reading this further suggests that they aren't going to enforce any of this because the minute they did their argument of no standing goes right out the window. Call their bluff. How many times are they going to say or suggest no enforcement before everyone just ignores them?
EMERGENCY STAY REQUESTED DUE TO THE "THREAT OF SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE IN INJURIES AND DEATH FROM GUN VIOLENCE"
If its an emergency, why did they wait till now?
Pistol permit exempts you from that.
(B) Subparagraph (A) shall not apply to the possession of a firearm--
`(i) on private property not part of school grounds;
`(ii) if the individual possessing the firearm is licensed to do so by
the State in which the school zone is located or a...
The entire party has to be blown up or they will not win again. All of these old dinosaurs. Gone. Voting will shift more and more to mail in and probably via smartphone in the future, and there is only one party who that is going to help and even make it easier to cheat. Democrats will continue...
Well, can't say I'm surprised. I thought a few more races across the country would go red, but didn't think we had much of a chance in NY. As for me, I think I'm going to pull back, keep to myself more, not go out anymore. I'll adapt even more of an "I don't give a f*ck" attitude. I'm not gong...
An appeal has been filed. I expect a stay to be ordered shortly. Welcome to 4 more years.

Because it's just a district court ruling, not a circuit court or a Supreme Court. It only covers the district area. I'm not a lawyer but have been reading up a bunch on this stuff lately and that is my understanding.
Love this from the judge.
"the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the status quo, not 2022 legislation on the books for nine weeks."
"The State requests a three-day stay pending appeal, which Plaintiffs oppose. The State's request is denied."
"Legislative enactments may not eviscerate...
