Not being an MP, even in SF, handgun training was terrible. So I’ve actually done far more at work/personally than the Army.
But I got out in 2004. I’ve heard it has improved.
Yeah it’s a strange misconception that true gun guys need to get over. When I came on, guys like me we’re actually laughed at and called “buffs”. Now, it’s so far gone that even saying buff is pointless because there’s so few of us.
The gun is not even close to the most important tool of a cop...
He is the norm, but most people don’t go out of their way to make cool guy videos and such because they’re just normal cops/citizens who follow the law and do what’s right day in day out.
I have no more respect for him than any quiet cop I work with who minds his own business and does the right...
I don’t know man, this incident really makes me wonder what would happen if I was ever just chillin’ at home with 40 machine guns and pounds of meth minding my own business how the cops could rustle up some old GF and accuse me of murder. This shits crazy, happens to often. I’m suspicious of...
I don’t go down the what if route anymore. There’s hundreds of threads you can read over where every angle has been explored.
Bottom line is that gun persecution has led to some people empathizing with perps as if this could happen to them when reality is almost invariably the opposite.
We’ve hashed this over a million times before here, but in summary, you think this way because you aren’t a perp, but yet still equate yourself with these stories, which is dumb IMO.
The odds of you being falsely accused of an assault as are astronomical as the odds that this guy DIDN’T commit...
What’s to clarify? You explained yourself quite well.
Perp or not, this story is an excuse for you to justify your view of law enforcement. What is there for me to clarify?
Loosely I guess, but I have nothing to do with them and they are just as hostile to retired cops as they are to civilians. The person I was advocating for was a retired Sgt and they acted no differently than any other case I’ve dealt with them on.
Did you call? I know for a fact that officer has people in it.
I was arguing with them last week over a case. After I refused to go get someone's guns and got my higher command to agree with me, they called him and told him to drop his guns off at the nearest precinct. They are handpicked to...
Remember I said they “likely” can. I’d need to see the signs they have. I have never been to an Indian casino in NY so I don’t know what they say. If they are just your typical gun with a red circle over it signs, then yeah they mean nothing and you’d have to refuse to leave to be arrested for...
Casinos have security which could detain you for trespassing, which you would be doing if you disregarded their posted signs. They could likely press tresspassing charges immediately as you had been afforded warning via the posted signs.
Ah see, I used the wrong “L’s”. You’re correct. So that has to be it. This was cool.
Now I really wonder why someone would make those and leave them there. They were shot a bunch already I suppose.
The only difference is the neck. I have it at 6.11. The chart shows 4.37 if I’m reading it right. But that’s not a lot so could account for individual rifle’s throat length no?
