You’re just making it worse. There’s no philosophical angle here. It’s very clear, and simple. If you’re not buying the gun with the intention of keeping it, its a straw purchase. You can buy a gun for someone else, as a gift. You can sell a gun you originally intended to keep. Pretty clear.

This is actually one of the few really simple gun laws. I’m surprised its being confused so badly here. Too many hypotheticals is the problem.

A straw purchase is when you buy a gun for someone else, period. I believe there is an exception for gifts stated up front, but that’s it.

You’re better off discussing this with an FFL. They could order the gun and keep the mags (probably at your loss unfortunately).

I took a deer with the same rifle yesterday. It was devastating with 350gn lead round nose bullets. Blew the lungs apart without doing much damage to meat. I’m impressed.

The wind didn't bother me too much once I got used to it, but it definitely took me a few days to be able to properly triangulate sounds that I thought were movement. It's confusing at first to pinpoint amplified sounds which would otherwise be very low.

I wore these while hunting this opening weekend. I ALWAYS wear hearing protection while shooting at the range, but never have while hunting. Man, what was I thinking? I'll never hunt without them again.
