For actual training type practice I like to shoot NATO 9mm loads which closely mimic the feel and POI of my carry load. Otherwise I shoot the cheapest brass 115gr I can find.

I think it is an absolutely terrible idea to mix ammunition types in a magazine. Different types/brands usually have different POI, you don't know from shot to shot which projectile is coming out and having mixed ammo types/brands is something LE associates, right or wrong, with criminal types...
