She also didn’t drive up to NY to be nice and let the father see his kids. It’s a domestic issue with a lot of issues involved. The cops involved did 100% the right thing from what I just read.
Ok so I did just find all the paperwork. Can’t go into details, but the article is way off and there’s other charges that make sense to me based on the story her ex told. Let’s just say she wasn’t kidnapped, she wasn’t simply carrying a “legal Texas gun” and she needs more (and different) help...
I bet you any amount of money he called the cops on her when she got here and that there’s waaay more to this story than laughable claims of kidnapping.
I’ll look up the truth tomorrow...
Well Merrick Garland, but same thing. And Holder may have been next. We need Ginsburg to croak. I swear I’d trade that for a million dollars right now!
The courts are all that matters. While the nonsense swirls, the important groundwork is being laid behind the scenes, and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it. ;)
I think so, but couldn’t answer for sure so he doesn’t want to risk it. The problem is that if it was somehow found out, it would be handled down here with the issuing judge who more than likely is going to consider a muzzleloader a violation of the order.
Had someone pose this question to me because of my domestic violence work but it is more of a hunting regs question.
The person is under an Order of Protection and cannot have guns for 1 year. They want to hunt. They don’t bow hunt. He wants to use a crossbow during gun season. The question is...
Thanks guys. Like I said, I know how lucky we are to still have this, no matter how small the “crew” is. I have another uncle and his son who hunt close by where we do in Otsego County, and one more cousin who seems to have dropped off after meeting his wife and now about to have a baby.
This past weekend, L to R: my cousin, me, my dad, my uncle (the landowner).
I know how fortunate I am to still have this. I’m 39 and my father still tromps around the woods with me all day. I took a small buck and my cousin took a doe. We head up there during bow season as well.
I wish more...
I simply can’t comprehend these stories. Four years in the Army, a year of that armed overseas, and 16 as a cop means that I’ve deuced a hell of a lot while armed, on and off duty. Never once have I removed my firearm from my holster or my holster from my belt to do so. Wtf?
I’ve had one for 9 years. Picked him right up off the street in Sunset Park. He barks a handful of times a year. Dead serious. Has never so much as snapped at anyone except me when I play rough with him. I rarely even walk him on a leash.
Best dog I’ve ever had by far. Even the neighbors love him.
I’m heading home in about 2 hours. After I clean up I’m going to start cutting up my quartered buck. Hopefully I can vaccuum seal most of it today. Tomorrow I’ll work on grounding meat once my new grinder arrives. :D
We were out all day. Moved around during the early hunt, kicked up something but didn’t see if it was a buck or a doe. In the afternoon I only saw a butt load of turkeys.
Cutesy logical comparisons that work in millennial video game headset conversations offer no insight into whether a baby is a baby or an unfortunate tumor in a woman’s belly.
@freddy some levels of soft armor are “knife resistant” but that’s the best case scenario.
My department outfitted us all with new vests over the last 4 years that cover much more of our midsection and sides, and include a trauma plate that is supposed to stop up to 7.62x39. I’d really hate to...
I’m not in a rush for that because I’ve spent so much time in Colorado’s outdoors. When I was in the Army, we fished and camped almost every weekend all over the place. And I’ve gone back a few times for more.
I really love Colorado but in a few years it’s politics will be the same as NY so...
Kids are 7 and 5. I’m divorced from their mother so it’s not about her complaining, just about seeing them. Tough to be away more than I am already. I prefer to squeeze my trips into the already empty spaces.
I drove to Colorado in ‘13. They flew. We did it so we wouldn’t have to rent a car...
I want to so badly, was supposed to do ID this year. But the drive makes it an entire week’s trip and I’m not sure I want to do that yet. Maybe when the kids are older.
I have a cousin moving back to Colorado soon, along with 3 close friends already there, all outdoorsmen. Hopefully I can use...
Ok so NC guided is out and OH DIY is in for next year’s (finally) bowhunting trip. Been tossing the idea of finally taking a hunting trip around for awhile, always end up cancelling in the end. The motivation to finally do it is that this will happen just after my 40th birthday.
I am currently...
I could put something else in there after but I prefer to keep the mag as is since I’m pretty sure it’s the follower that’s the problem.
My friend just suggested roughing up the insides with sandpaper so they will in turn wear the follower quicker.
Yeah I was hoping to get the follower out to file it down a little bit. Can’t get it out unless I drill out the indents. At that point it would be pointless because I need it to be 5rds for hunting.
I’m having a problem with the follower on my ASC .308 5rd mag getting stuck in the down position. It feels fine as I load. The follower slides down easily and evenly. Once it is down, it sometimes comes up after the first round, but that’s it.
I tried taking it apart and reversing the spring...
If this goes through, it will affect me worst than our own bill did. I currently order all of my ammo through my cousin in NJ, or ship to one of numerous family members' homes. My brother lives in PA in a spot that's some drive though. This would suck.
