Hex, thanks for the response.
I understand all that.
Let me rephrase the question.
When I log on to my forum page I see the new posts on the right.
When I click on new posts on the menu going across the top I get a different set of posts.
Am I doing something wrong ?
Also what is new profile posts ?
I had both of those but neither thrilled me.
The Pro Ears Gold didn't seem to muffle the gunfire.
The MSA Sordins seemed to clip the sound instead of compress it.
Both of them need to be doubled up when shooting inside.
I sent them both back.
I doubt I got 2 bad pairs.
I guess I'm just hard to...
Pod monkey, thanks for that info.
I was thinking about getting a set of Pelter Tactical Sport 500's.
Not for the bluetooth feature but for the extra 2 NRR.
My only concern is the headband.
There are a lot of reviews telling of how uncomfortable they are to wear for extended periods of time.
I...
Chuck D , you have to omit, he is a good shot.
To me his videos are more about how good a shot he is than about him passing on some valuable information.
If I post a response should it go to the top of today's threads ?
I don't understand how it works.
Sometimes I have to search for a tread that I just responded to.
Pod monkey, thanks for the review.
I've taken a few handgun classes with Ben at Onsight.
He is a very good instructor and I look forward to doing more training with him.
ECU Pirates, I did watch the video and do like Yankee Marshal.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I also watched Mrgunsnand video.
His opinion differed.
Unfortunately it 's not just Glock.
There is very little quality control in many products.
I have a Sig Sauer P320.
Did you see how the...
I would like to trade my Glock 19 Gen4 for a Glock 19 Gen5.
I don't like the finger grips on the Glock 19 Gen4 .
I have big fingers that do not fit properly in the grip causing my middle finger
to get pushed up in to the underside of the trigger guard causing Glock knuckle.
I did not want to...
Bob, I'm not worried about the restrictions. I understand how they work.
I'm worried that I do not have possession of my handgun by not having it on my person or by being locked up.
I have a NYS Sportman handgun license.
While traveling in NYS And going to the range I either carry it on my person or when bringing
more than one I have it in a lock box unloaded out of reach and the ammo in a separate area.
E.g. handgun in trunk of car or back of SUV and ammo in a box on the...
Togmaster, What a bunch of wossies we have here.
Fishing in the shelter of the lakes and reservoirs.
We are men, we fish in the ocean.
Where the winds are high and the waves are higher.
Podmonkey, let me know how you like those Pelter Sport Tactical 300's.
I've been eyeing them but I hear a lot of complaints about the headband.
I've read it doesn't curve with the average head and it doesn't have any cushioning.
I guess you can get a wrap for the headband. I hope it works for you.
Willisjr75, there is a mastoid bone behind the ear which can be damaged by vibration from gunfire.
Earplugs will not protect this. Ear muffs are the way to go.
It's not a fashion show, protect what you got while you can.
I have a pair of passive Pro Ears Ultra 33 (33 NRR), they don't make them anymore.
They compress gunfire pretty good.
When shooting inside or shooting magnums things tend to get a little loud so you should double up.
I tried a few pairs of electronic muffs.
They all claimed they either clipped...
Glock 19 Gen 4, 2183-2 followers.
FTF the last round in 10 round mag.
Only with hollow points, with different mags, not all the time.
This is a known Glock issue.
I called Glock and they sent me 2183-3 followers.
They didn't work well.
I said I thought it was a good idea.
My Glock sometimes has a FTF on the last round when using hollow points.
I've tried different followers and different ammo but it still occasionally happens on the last round.
This is the reason I don't want to mess with my S&W mags.
BlackDragon, I have an S&W M&P 40.
I would stick with the S&W mags.
I have many of them and they work flawlessly.
I also have problems loading the last few in a 10 round mag.
Not only with my M&P but with my Glock and my Ruger.
I agree, you should get a UpLULA™ – 9mm to 45ACP
When I practice I...
Unlike ! ? ! ? ! ?
I thought forums were to share information and help one another.
Not to keep all the good things to yourself.
Didn't your mothers teach you how to share ?
nortatoga, I haven't yet but this is where I would go.
The Indoor Gun Range
$15 an hour.
About 25 minutes away.
Checked it out last Saturday.
Would serve the purpose for handguns.
I appreciate the feedback.
I'm only responding to the posters.
I already posted that Westchester County said it was okay.
People read the question and sometimes don't read the entire thread.
That's okay, I thank them for chiming in and appreciate all the responses.
Not at Rikers Island but at Westchester County Corrections.
I don't live in NYC anymore..... Good Riddens !
I already spoke to Westchester County, they said it was okay to do.
meketrefe, why would I do that ?
Transfer it to an FFL and then transfer it back.
I want it to be on 2 permits, not transfer it from 1 permit to another.
I don't understand, please explain.
Robin, not so easy to leave NY.
Jobs, kids and older parents are a few of the things that may keep you here.
Most people die living 50 miles from where they are born.
Because of taxes, fees and fines I do agree with you.
I always wanted to move to North Carolina but because of
those things...
I spent the day in the Capital region with my son on Saturday and we visited 10 gun stores.
I was impressed with some of them.
American Shooter Supply, B&D Gunsmoke, Target Sports and Zach's Sports are my favorites.
When we reached Taylor and Vadney Sporting Goods I was shocked to find no...
UPDATE:
I spoke to a clerk at the Westchester County pistol permit office and to my surprise they allow
handguns to be put on 2 different permits as long as both permit holders reside at the same address.
Thanks for the suggestion, I never read that anywhere and would of never thought of it.
Like I said never knew that you could put someone else' guns on your permit in NY.
I will have to check that out on Monday.
For some reason I think that's not happening in Westchester County.
Thanks for the idea.
VietnamEraVet, not the case.
Sorry you think that.
Some of the members on the forum can vouch for me.
Ben at Onsight Firearm Training and togmaster to name a few.
I'm squeaky clean and I just want to stay that way.
