Read the article. Odd oxymoron in it. Claims 3 people were hit by the ND, but noone was shot....
I think 3 people getting hit is, well, ya know, 3 people getting shot. Pretty definitive.
Ummmm....no . Remember when an arms manufacturer voluntarily agreed to make respirators in NYS? The response from NYS was no thanks. Who would think having more jobs is a good idea? Absolutely not....(sarcasm....partially. remember, its NY, the not-so-friendly-to business due to the weather-state)
Lol! I know, right? Let's start with 223 and 556....tomorrow!
At least 1 manufacturer sees the value in investment for the future. Demand nearly always outstrips supply in this field. Surprised other manufacturers can't see this as an opportunity.
What it seems to break down to isn't (and never was) a racial divide in obtaining firearms. Its simply a lack of knowledge of rights to own firearms. Hell, I'm new to firearms ownership. For the longest time I believed I need a permit to own any firearm. Lack of knowledge and research is all...
Additionally, as as IMO, they haven't taken a 2a case since heller~10 years ago. Depending upon the SCOTUS to reverse existing laws is unreliable at best
Based upon a conversation in another thread an idea came to mind. The hypothetical...
A new gun advocacy group has formed within NYS. They are specifically NY focused, and have resources, albeit limited to begin with, but may be capable of addressing a focused "assault " to remove 5 terrible...
True. But in its purist form, representation from within the state, by owners themselves, knowing what needs to be addressed first, would undoubtably be best. Alignment of the vision from all members should and would be paramount, not 5k suits ( and I don't mean lawsuits, as many of them...
Odd, but not surprising. I would believe "free states" donation levels to be much less while heavily legislated states to naturally be more ( EX- NY, CA, NJ, MA ECT.)
Just helps lead me to my earlier conclusion, higher donation rates do not lead to higher representation within that state.
Although this is a great gesture, an air rifle donation does nothing to help legally remove restrictions already in place. Its more inline with handing someone a glass of water as a consolidation prize to put out a house fire.
True, but still a gun owner nonetheless. Additionally, with...
Off the cuff thought-we have over 2000 members here, representing NY owners.....would it be odd to think that maybe....just maybe....we could be our own advocacy group? Who better knows the restrictions than current gun owners residing in the state....
I mean beyond voting, which we should...
Is there any way ( please bear with my ignorance if it exists) to add a shortcut to the forum on a home screen for a mobile device? Sure wouldn't be handy.
2 things-
1) the issue of who has possession for the sake of avoiding a felony will only make the entire situation worse IMO as it would only make the potential prosecution more steadfast in seeking a conviction. Simplicity in a story tends to breed truth, as humans are truly simple...
Word of note- local range I frequent in Rochester is out of all 223 and 556. Asker when they anticipate getting more thier response was..
3-6 months. Honestly that's insane.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. LOL
Truthfully, dicks doesn't even carry my ammo. Was just thinking of the places I've visited which on the hunt.
Wait, ammo ships to your door? Like from the.....the internet?
This cannot be.
( looks to my right, quickly disposing of discreet packaging received yesterday along with invoice from Connecticut)
"Um...uh....move along....nothing to see here"
But alas, why neuter something that has all the rights and freedoms allowed in a free state? I say, "let it rain all the 30 freedom seeds god intended "
Even if he did bring it, its been my experience that ranges I've been to require all AR'S to NYS Safe act compliant, so it would be a non starter to begin with.
Less the all important felony.....theres also that.....
Just read an article from Dicks CEO regarding just that today. In basic his reasoning was the switch to brand specific marketing and the sale of Field and Stream ( more than likely the true cause) to sportsman warehouse. Forecasted long term sales ( the true crap shoot of business) will tell...
I didn't know that was the reason dicks stopped selling them. I have noticed that dicks doesn't have as much foot traffic as it has had in years past .
Could it be that they don't sell either the ammunition or the firearm most popular in the USA?
Nah, what was I thinking?
They have also stopped selling 223. Spoke with an associate ( see my post in thread from 5 pm yesterday).
With regards to that post I also thought what the associate said.......seems like it's done a lot of good (sarcasm)
The ignorance in this one is strong...
