I honestly think it is a business decision made primarily by the lawyers and numbers folks. They loose 1% of sales doing this, avoid costly bs law suits and negative publicity AND even those who disagree with their actions WILL STILL SHOP THERE.
Any state you don’t have reciprocity in you must:
- have the unloaded firearm in a locked box outside of your access. Ammo in a separate area.

There are 5 consulates and embassies between just the Mexico to US border. None of them have reported rapes, assaults, murders, or folks lost to human trafficking during processing. Same with all legal crossing points . I’m not aware of any drowning at any of these points either.

Yeah, I heard this was coming. I told my local CO’s that I would store and assist them getting permits until resolved. If they still have the badge they can turn them in to an FFL while they get their permits. But many have NON-NYS compliant stuff and that would be an issue. That and “High...
I also have to wonder what gun store allowed the sale without questioning, allowed him to take from the Free Bin a 30 round mag or two. Crazy. But I can only assume his parents were with him and supported his life choices.

Well, the Village board made this happen. Not sure I would punish all businesses ….YET. Now if the people of the village do not come to the aid of the affected small businesses and go to the board and demand correction….well that may be another thing. Perhaps they don’t need consideration.
Not directly. But there are interpretations which find that restricting or blocking access and availability is a method of restricting the individual resources right. Like over taxing, over licensing, unclear legislation…..
