Oh, snap!
If you can't find anything you like while down in the Gunshine State, you aren't trying!
The last time I went down there, I ended up buying a VEPR in 5.45x39.
You did ignore part of it. Explain how my filled in thumbhole is any different than one filled with kydex.
What if I grabbed a piece of 2x6 and cut it in the shape of my VEPR stock and put it on? I could get a hole saw and put a "thumbhole" in it faster the, I could probably get that kydex off.
Yes I can. Please explain how wrapping the grip on a handgun changes anything. You still have to have a permit for it in NY.
While you are at it, answer my questions in post 33 that you have so far ignored.
The difference is that wrapping the grip on a handgun doesn't change it's classification. It is still a handgun. There is no point to this exercise per NY law. Irrelevant.
Getting rid of a pistol grip on a rifle can change it's classification from an "assault weapon" to just a semi-auto...
I spoke to an old time FFL a few years ago and he said that decades ago, if a State Trooper stopped someone from out of state (or even from out of the country) with an unlicensed handgun, a call would be put in to him and he would purchase said handgun, and then the driver would be sent on their...
You can put kydex on your handgun, but it is still a pistol. You are comparing apples to oranges. Handguns and rifles are different classifications of firearms, and have (mostly) different laws pertaining to them. Throwing pistols and kydex together in the same argument is irrelevant. The...
This.
Like the filled in thumbholes on my VEPR's, the pistol grip part of the thumbhole no longer exists. It no longer functions like a pistol grip.
So tell me, what is the difference between that and filling the thumbhole in with kydex like they do in California?
It functions in the...
This is frigging bullshit. I was there. I know what Cuomo and his jack-booted thugs did at the rally, and it stinks to high heaven.
Appellate Division backs Cuomo in toy gun FOIL case
FUAC!
I know there's probably a few people here that might want one. If I already didn't have a couple VEPR's, I'd be taking a serious look at these.
Available calibers are .223 and 7.62x39

Asinine that I have to resort to such measures to get a rifle that is legal in practically every state, but as far as I'm concerned, I will do everything I can to encourage the importation of more so-called "assault weapons" into this state because the SAFE Act is a joke. FUAC!
As a matter of fact, a Yugo M70AB2, which comes with the underfolder.
Yes, I bought it after the SAFE Act was passed, and no, I didn't register it.
Because, FUAC! :ak::ak::ak:
I actually bought it almost three years ago, at the same time that I bought my other Yugo AK, the M70B1. Some of...
I agree on the spur grip. I hate it.
I just tried a boar grip (with ar to ak adapter) on my yugo ak, and it does not work ergonomically. There is not enough room for my knuckles to got between the top rear of the grip and the rear of the receiver at the stock to be comfortable. I think it...
They got it partly right. Trump is President because the establishment political class failed us. They created the perfect storm that allowed a flawed candidate to win against them all. Trump is not to blame for that, of which there is no doubt.
The alternative to a brash, inarticulate...
$525 for that Russian SKS is actually a pretty good price for NY, I'd say. The ammo is also a good price, especiallyfor a NY gun show.
I couldn't go today, as I promised to spend the day with Mrs. POP, but I'll be going to the show tomorrow.
That was a later rally, which was held on the plaza between the Capitol and the Museum.
The first one was held on the grass next to the Capitol, and there were over 10,000 people there (probably 13,000, and maybe as high as 15,000)
I was there, and went to all the other ones too.
My sign that...
True. And that is how Cuomo thought he could keep any more AK's and AR's from coming into his state. Make everyone register the existing ones, and prohibit any more "assault weapons" from making their way in with the "AK and AR features" ban. That is how stupid he really is.
LOL @both of you...
Fine. I'll say it.
The "real purpose" is for taking your country back from a tyrannical government. At this point, the spur grip is already off and the pistol grip is back on, because FU!
;)
100% agree.
The only reason I bothered with the spur is because it is a cheap and easy way to make an AK compliant. Since I don't plan on remaining in this state for too many more years, there's no point in going with more expensive options as I'll be in a free state where I can go back to...
I've "modified" my AK since I bought it. It originally came without a pistol grip, as the pistol grip made it illegal. I added the spur grip a couple years later.
You can change out any parts you want, as long as the rifle still remains compliant.
Exactly.
I bought my AK pattern rifles after the SAFE Act was passed. As they were in an "illegal" configuration when they were at the FFL, they were still allowed to be possessed by the FFL because the law allows it, I just couldn't take possession of them until they were modified to be legal...
It's not that it's harder to shoot really. There is just no way to "safely" pick up a rifle with your trigger hand like you can with a pistol grip. With my VEPR's, I can grab that stock with my trigger hand and pick the rifle up and maneuver it around, in spite of the VEPR being a heavier...
With that said, I absolutely fucking hate the spur grip. There's nothing to hold on to with your trigger hand. This means less control of the rifle.
I'd rather shoot my VEPR's all day long. At least there's something to wrap the rest of my fingers around for stability, and VEPR's can be had...
Yes.
This is how worried about it I am.
I'll post a nice big picture of my Yugo AK action with the spur grip attached so Andy-boy can go piss himself in his shorts.
I've never had the rifle in a place where NYSP have been, but I wouldn't give a rats ass if they did. It's an AR spur, the same spur that's sold on AR's and yes, on AK's at gun shows in NY. I have personally seen AK's sold at NY gun shows with this set up within the past year where law...
AR's have been sold at gun shows in NY for years now with spur grips. This is no different.
Cuomo can kiss my swamp ass crack all day long. There is nothing he can do to touch me which is why I put these pictures of my AK patterned rifles up on the internet for everyone to see.
:ar::ar::ar::ar:
If you do this, make sure you get one of the spare stock sets from here: Vepr Russian 54R/.308 Stock Sets, Shore Tactical
The wood on the rifle you get is bound to be 100 times nicer than the $15 ones from shore tactical and you don't want to bugger that up.
Like this...
One is a Yugo AK that I bought just after the SAFE Act passed. I found it in original configuration in a local store, and they just cut the tip off the muzzle brake, removed the pistol grip, pinned the 30 round mag to 10 rounds, and I took it home. Recently I added a spur (and spur adapter) to...
I chopped the top of the original sign off that said "Kiss my Assault Stick, Andy-Boy". Of course, the media quoted that part of my sign without including a picture of it or the assault stick, on purpose I'm sure, to try and portray it in a more negative context.
