This is an old "map" but I came across it again the other day. :D
Where was the first place that you carried?
I think mine was actually Walmart. I remember being so nervous and checking to make sure the gun was still there every couple of minutes. I was SUPER aware and kept scanning around...
And then he was forced to pay back the money. I know that he is an idiot, but you've got to be a special kind of stupid to think that's OK. He chartered a bunch of buses and brought people to DC to march with the Million Moms. Kaine is about as anti-gun as they get. If any gun owner votes for...

A kid brought apistol to school on the very first day of school. What the hell is wrong with people. If you read further down in the article, it says there are 256 kids at this school...
If you have any other questions, just check out the state's website. It'll be sure to clear up any confusion /s

Pull up a stool and join the fine folks here. I've got a feeling that you're not the only one!
In all seriousness though. I hope this place takes off becomes the community that I know it can be. There are a lot of fine folks looking to "join up" and form a great group.
No problems. I've got no problem with it, but it's up to the good folks at Avid if they want this site linked. I know of at least one other site that probably wouldn't allow it. :D
I don't really have any set amounts. Sometimes it's after a range outing of 500 rounds, other times it's after 50 rounds. Other times it's never. It all depends on how lazy I am, how much time I have, and how much I need to "get away" and get some time in the garage.
The title says it all. I need help getting into reloading. I've been putting it off long enough. The price of .44 mag ammo is killing me!
I shoot mostly .44, .308, 9mm, and some .223
I'd like to buy a progressive press because of the 9mm and .223. What does everyone recommend? Besides the...
Welcome to NY Gun Forum!
Thank you for choosing NY Gun Forum. Everyone knows that there are a lot of online communities. There are loads dedicated to every topic, including firearms. NY Gun Forum was started in 2016 as a place where individuals could discuss everything firearms related. It...
Remember a couple things with that...
1. If you fall on your back and land square, you're going to be in for a world of hurt. It's not common, but if you slip and fall on the ice, it could be trouble.
2. Presentation of the firearm will be more difficult. You can't just casually pull up your...
NY Gun Forum Rules
We try to keep the forum rules to a minimum here. Basically, don't be a jerk and everything will be fine. However, there are some basic rules that are needed to keep things working smoothly. These rules are subject to change and all of them must be followed.
Forum Posting...
Honestly, if you already have a Ruger takedown, why would you get it? I'd probably invest in another gun type that you don't have yet. semi-auto pistol, revolver, semi-auto rifle, bolt action, pump shotty, semi-auto shotty, bolt shotty, etc.
That's just me though.
Same as Airborneguy. I'd love to appendix carry, but I'm too big to do it. Maybe next year. I've dropped about 18 pounds in the past 6 months, but I've got a bunch more before I'll be able to.
Already done. The site used to be a little better and you could link to specific sections. There are other sites out there, but I figure it's best to go to the official source.
So, I'm having an internal debate on what I want my next firearm to be. One thing I'm sorely lacking is a 1911. If you were to pick up a "cheaper" 1911, what would you suggest. Say the limit is about $1k.
The back and forth of the "people" is quite amusing. It's the exact same when people like Carolyn McCarthy talk about banning "the shoulder thing that goes up." I understand people can't know everything, but it isn't that hard to gain some basic understanding of things to make an informed...
For sure. Because we live in a state where guns, and especially carrying them, is taboo, we have to be extra careful. This is one reason why I'd love it if we could open carry. There would be very, very few times where I actually would, but it would be nice to not have to worry about printing or...
A lot of people have questions about the law. Well, the first step is to actually read what the law says. The link below is to a site maintained by the state of NY. It has ALL the current laws. Penal, Mental Hygiene, Vehicle and Traffic, etc.
Most of the firearms law that we're concerned with...
Hi all!
Some of you may know me from other places, but I'll introduce myself anyways. I'm from the Rochester area and enjoy shooting everything from 22 rimfire to the 50 cal I shot. I have an unrestricted pistol permit and like to hunt also.
I look forward to helping this great site succeed...
I stumbled across this article and found it interesting. As men, the only time we really have to dress around our firearms is if we're wearing suits. Women tend to do it a lot more.
