Depends on the stage. 7 1/2 for sure. Light loads. Sometimes there are slug targts. I use the managed recoil stuff. Very little buck shot....but again, managed recoil when i use buck.

For the record, i can run a pump, under stress , and not short stroke it.....but i still use a good semi auto 99.9452% of the time.

I shot ironman trooper divison in Id. Trooper = man portable between stages all in one go. Then run what you brung on the stage. I have semi shotgun. A pump. Ar15. SCAR17. ar9. Glock. 33 round mags for the ar9/g34.

I have seen guys shooting 3 gun short stroke their shotguns many many times.....and that is not a super stress situation.
I have also seen pump shotguns malfunction.

Call the local “safe crackers” (locksmiths). That is where i buy mine. They are always very old and far more secure than most all “gun safes” available today. And they are usually way cheaper.
