Belgian-made Browning A5 "Sweet Sixteen" chambered in 16 Gauge. Based on the "S" prefix serial number (S 56030), this classic shotgun was manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium in 1956.
The barrel features a factory solid matted rib and carries the original Belgian "P.V. (Elg)" smokeless powder proof marks, along with the "16-70" stamping, confirming a standard modern 2 ¾" chamber.
This is an authentic, field-used gun in Fair to Good overall condition. The wood and metal show honest wear, minor dings, and finish thinning consistent with decades of successful hunting trips. Mechanically excellent with a bright bore. It has not been heavily modified or re-blued, preserving its vintage integrity.
