The delay in return of both licenses and firearms by the court is a delay stacked on unlawful seizure, denial of due process and denial of rights and is totally unacceptable. The judge is responsible for providing this remedy in a timely manner regardless of other claims in process.

When my NYS CCW permit was wrongfully suspended about 10 years ago, and my handguns seized, it was a struggle to get them returned to me.

While the judge reinstated my permit immediately, between dealing with the head clerk at the Erie County PPO, Wilmer Fowler; hiring a lawyer, dealing with a couple of shitty dishonest cops who had my handguns (and used every delaying tactic possible), it still took me 6 months to get them back. Pissed me off something fierce.

It was one of the reasons why I left New Yorkistan for the Carolinas.

Remember when I was wrongfully denied a handgun purchase in 2015, and it took 2.5 years to get it straightened out.
I didn't lose my right to own a gun, or carry a gun, just to buy a gun.
In January 2018 I finally emailed Trump. Five days later my rights were restored.

I was denied by NYS due to a misdemeanor from 30 years previously. I had been buying a LOT of guns over those 30 years, and received my NYS and PA pistol permits. Then all of a sudden, DENIED for a "crime" that even NYS says is ok.
Even though NYS denied me on the 4473, I had to wait for Obamas FBI to fix it....they did not. Trumps FBI fixed it in 5 days....with an apology, a UPIN, and a direct phone number to a Trump staffer incase I had any issues.
