I really hope TSUSA doesn't cave and stop shipping. I would hate to deal with overpriced Gunbroker ammo sales or worse, the gas to drive to PA to get ammo.

They will not. Remember a while back it was posted here that they stopped selling to NYS for a time period because NYS DOJ sent them a cease and desist order. Then customers got mad and sent them the memorandum of understanding and that the law/database had not taken effect and they started selling again. They will stop on 9/1 or as soon as they are aware of the law. Watch out buying ammo from them after 9/1 because NYS will demand their sales records and you will be in violation of NYS law.

Be on the look out for plain clothed troopers in unmarked cars watching your trips with road blocks on your return trips.

I have seen nothing saying you must buy your ammo in NYS or that it is illegal to posses ammo that hasn’t been background checked. They have no legal authority to stop you or search your car for any reason at all. Possessing ammo even in plain sight is not criminal in anyway shape or form. This doesn’t ban the possession of ammo not purchased in NYS and NYS laws don’t follow you to PA.

They get them for taxation right? They are allowed to tax online sales if you buy out of state now. They must be saying the sale is taking place in NYS so I could see them being able to get the records for sales going to NYS. You also need to count on TSUSA wanting to protect you enough to spend a ton of money defending your information in court with expensive lawyers. I don’t see this happening.
Best we can hope for is they will ship to an FFL I think.

No, that's the MOU from 2015 SAFE ACT. The NEW law is another installation of the old law, so the MOU from the old law doesn't cover it. Understand ? Of course not. It's uber-liberal horseshit. Nobody understands it.

I am curious if anyone has frequented the shops across the state line. Just a 10mi radius search I see PA Guns and Ammo, Egers Sports, TAG Gun shop, and Montrose sporting goods. Anyone deal with any of those? Anything better farther in the state? Asking for a friend.

I will have to do some research. I reload most of my stuff, but things like 22lr, 9mm, 223, and 38spl I prefer to buy if the going is good. I can imagine showing up with a wad of cash to get what I need.

The Purple Tie squad guys have been known to scout the fireworks stores just across the border in Erie, PA (particularly near July 4th), and then stop and arrest people w/ NY plates after they cross back into NY on the I-90, or Routes 5 and 20.

Besides, there is no law preventing buying ammo out of state right now. It's not illegal to possess like fireworks are.

NYS Senator Dan Stec (District 21) publicly stated that buying any NY legal long gun in Vermont, for example, and bringing it back to NYS is legal after the new laws take effect in September. I can’t presume that ammo would be a problem, either. I’m not a senator, elected official law dog, law man or lawless, I’m only passing along what a Senator told me directly, in person.
