Anyone Collect Japanese WWII Rifles

I have several things I'm going to be putting up for sale. Included in this will be a few Japanese rifles. Just wanted to know if anyone here collects these. I'd offer to you first.

I have my fathers Arisaka mod 99 in 7.7 jap, he cut the forstock way down and thinned the rest with a piece of glass. He did the same thing to his German K98 bring back.

Type 38 or 99?

I have an early (~1921) Koishikowa (Tokyo) Army Arsenal T38. Mum but bolt and dust cover are not matching to the rifle.

I also have a mummed and matching late 7 series Nagoya T99.

The rest of mine are matching numbers but ground mums.

Just out of curiosity how did the standard Japanese rifle compare to the garand? I know the zero was superior to american fighters at the beginning of the war but we introduced far better planes as the war progressed. I have never read anything about Japanese infantry weapons in world War II.

The M1 Garand had no real peers at that time. The Arisaka was renowned for a stout action.

Top is a Nagoya Type 99 Long. 1/8000 made. Scrubbed mum but matching numbers.

Bottom is a Nagoya 4 series T38 carbine. Matching numbers but scrubbed mum and refinished stock.

I have an absolutely beautiful Nagoya 5 T38 carbine but I'll be keeping that and either my Nagoya 7 or Nagoya 8 T99.

I'll also be putting up an old T38. The question is on my very nice 26 series Kokura T38. Matching numbers, including dust cover, with original sling and cleaning rod.
