Davis said that the gunman had two weapons during the shooting, but that he never entered the bar.

“He drove by, was firing outside the window with a pistol,” Davis said. “Once he exited the vehicle after parking on Wood, he exited with a rifle at that point.”
Davis said an explosives team was called in to evaluate the gunman’s vehicle after investigators found concerning items inside. No bombs were found, however. (more)

The suspect was later shot down by Virginia State police who responded to the crash.

Ndiaga Diagne entered the U.S. on March 13, 2000, on a B-2 tourist visa. In June 2006, he adjusted to lawful permanent resident (IR-6) based on marriage to a U.S. citizen.
"Diagne was arrested in 2001 for illegal vending. His other three city arrests are sealed, sources said. Details on his Texas busts were not immediately known," the New York Post reported.
