With Ruger's acquisition of Marlin came the "Glenfield" name for which they applied to the base model "American" Rifle, so now the upgraded version is the "American" and the Base Model is "Glenfield".Checkout Ruger’s newish Rangler line of revolvers. They were fantastic with me. The guy answering the phones was not Indian and spoke plain clear English. He was also very familiar with the model I had and walk through some troubleshooting with me. It turned out it was the grease they used in the firing on mechanism. He essentially said something like well I’m not supposed to say this but yes, what you read on the web about that will likely solve your issues. The owners manual said not to remove the firing pin assembly for the 365 to clean it. They had the thick reddish brown grease in there. The rounds were all going bang but some of the firing pin hits were not deep and were on an odd angle. Sure enough that worked well. He even said if it doesn’t work don’t tell them you did that and just send it back and we will take care of it for you. I told him I didn’t want to send them back if nothing was wrong and/or I could fix it myself. He appreciated that. Honestly one of the best customer service experiences I have had in a long time. I talked to him for probably 20-30 minutes and he asked questions to make sure he understood my concerns.Ironically I've had nothing but difficulties with Sig Customer Service, however I will admit that the time frame was during the covid bullshit.
I bought a new, P220 from Gander when they were closing up, found out later that it had the wrong recoil spring guide in it (sat just over an 1/8" below the opening on in the slide) Never could get them to reply or answer the phones or messages....had another P220 Upper that I wanted refinished and new Night Sights installed; took weeks, but finally got a CSA to issue a RMA and we got it done, but damn.
That is likely the route I will go I like the higher quality single six, but not sure it’s worth the capital output unless I can find one used and fairly cheap.Checkout Ruger’s newish Rangler line of revolvers.
