That would be illegal since using your cell phone while driving in NY is a big no-no.
I did see a nys trooper on the wrong side of the border monday night. I almost wished i could tell him to go where he belonged.

A simple man staggers out from the local bar the cops are watching for drunk drivers ..
the simple man staggers up the side walk to his car and falls a few times
then drops the car keys trying to unlock the door ..
and fall down again
finally he get into his car and drives away ..
all the cops flip there lights and take off and pull him over ..
he blew a 0.0 on the BAC ..
Officers I'm the designated decoy ..
I'm sure we can do this for AMMO

Maybe some of our NYSP cross over the PA line to see what a free state is like.

They're just as free here as they are in PA being a trooper.

Tim Hortons coffee and pastries at the 230 exit in the keystone. Wouldn't blame the cops if they were contemplating a donut run
CT has some sort of Card that you must have to buy ammunition (has for at least a decade) and while I don'tknow exactly what it is, but I'm sure NJ has some fucked up way to hinder Lawful purchases.

so the Governor and NYSP can shut the database down since its not working and loosing $$$$
just like that what was it database .. CoBIS i think ..
CoBIS or GUN DNA:A waste of millions of dollars, a waste of police manpower.
NY State's CoBIS or
www.ocshooters.com
COBIS was a thirty million dollar fiasco that solved ZERO crimes; Micro-stamping (keeps coming up in the ASSembly) isn't going to do any better.

so how long do we give them before we file for the records on expenses vs income for the ammo database ??
It's already in production, so I'd say start now. You might get an answer in 100 years.

Microstamping passed as far as I know and they are doing a feasibility study before it gets implemented.

Dumb question... what exactly is microstamping in regards to ammo? Stamp/ID each round, or??

Amazing how the government has so much of our money that they can enslave us without so much as a whimper. Big sister is watching. FUKH!

Yes the law says you need to punch stamp your initials on the primer of every round you purchase.

Perfect. I’ll have all my firing pins micro engraved with FU. Then, when I shoot, all my spent primers will be neatly marked “Frank Underwood”.

Per NYS it has to stamp a micro number in two locations simultaneously from what I remember. I think the firing pin and casing stamped.
NY passed a microstamping gun law. It’s already months behind schedule.
A state study of microstamping was due by December 2022, but it’s not estimated to be wrapped up until later in 2023.

A Chamber Reamer will fix that 2nd issue ..
But not fix the Ammo manufacturers from saying.... No Dice!
Assuming micro-stamping is possible, feasible, and workable, the fact that for every major mass manufacturing process to be successful the major parts of any machine have to be interchangeable. That alone will negate any benefit/value/evidence the Government thinks it is going to get out of this law.
think about it: swap a barrel, slide or firing pin and you have a different number or a work around for the number. Pick up brass from a range and reload it the you have the potential for cases with two or more numbers from different guns loaded in a magazine. Then you have remanufactured ammo companies who buy and use once fired brass. The potential for having micro stamped brass from other communist states showing up in the PRNY will drive the “authoritarians” crazy.
