Booked a room for this weekend at Norwidgewok on Stillwater Resivior.
Bicycles, beer, canoe, steaks, hotdogs, and more beer and gin n 7 too..

best part is, that’s the same room I booked.

I just emailed DEC to see what the status was on the numbered campsites at Stillwater. A buddy and I want to load up kayaks, paddle out to a site, and chill for a long weekend.

Had a grad party to make then my first camp check since the 4th of July. Just the wife n I for drinks by the fire. Also left our political statement for the upcoming fall.

Pulling the trailer to Nicks Lake SP this Monday for 3 nights of dry camping. Park was refurbished last year. Have reservations at Frankie’s Taste of Italy in Old Forge. They are supposed to have a bunch of bourbons available. Worth a shot

Went to Brennan Beach in Pulaski on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario for the first time this year. Nice place, VERY large and busy. Looking to go back next summer for sure.

My favorite spot in all the world. Sugar Creek Glen campground in Dansville. Quiet, small, peaceful, family owned, the Seasonal folks are awesome. Been going there since I was a kid, and my kids love it now too. Has a very relaxing, nostalgic feel.

The dogs like to get up off the ground a little. Its especially nice if there's rain, keeps them out of the mud.

Starting to backpack again after a twenty five year hiatus. Gear has really jumped in price. I watch Outdoor Gear Review on YouTube a little corney but good info. Am a REI member.

Tried a new mummy bag felt big time claustrophobic in it gave it to my granddaughter have decided on a synthetic quilt instead.

My goal is to climb the 46 high peaks before I am 74 years old. I am 69 1/2 years old now. Climbed 4 peaks last July and will attempt Giant Mountain and Rocky Ridge this Monday, day hiking. 8.9 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 4412 feet. I like the AllTrails app for navigation and info.

Making plans to climb the Santanoni Range on a two night trip in October. Anyone else on board??

Just got home a shower and a bowl of soup ago. Was a great day for views early there were no clouds then later overcast but still scenic.

Started trail at 6:30 and had both mountains climbed by 11:30. Took from 12:00 - 4:00 to climb down. 9 1/2 hr round trip. I’m pooped. I drank 2.5L of water and 2 20oz bottles of Gator Aid. Think I peed twice.

My Fitbit indicates that I took 34,648 steps, walked 15.84 miles and consumed 5,437 calories. FWIW.

If all goes as plan I want to climb the Santanoni Range, 3 peaks, in mid October. That would make 9 this year.

We run a Lance 1025 slide in TC, queen bed, stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dinette, wet bath, 33 gal fresh water, grey and black holding tanks. Couldn't be happier, only pull a trailer if we want to.

Pulling the trailer up to Old Forge campground for 7 nights today. Will be doing some leaf peeping, hiking, birthday partying, debate watching and Halloweening. Not in that order. Last trip of the year.
