The reason why you cannot find any is Remington moved out of NY State and move the whole operation to Georgia so it will take time for them to get back up to normal production.

They did not just move out of state but were either sold or taken over. It's not even just Remington anymore but RemArms. I don't personally think they will ever go into production of some models.

My latest boner is for an early 80's Rem model seven. They had iron sights on them back then.
I've always wanted a 660 or 673 Mohawk in one of the larger calibers...even a 600 would be nice....there was just something about them that I really liked.
Rem Arms are said to be producing a few models, but I think they're done...sure as hell won't even talk to you about ANYTHING "Remington" they've completely distanced themselves with that Company.
As far as I'm concerned the once industry giant is dead & buried with a million square foot monument to what was...if you can't get it used or aftermarket you're fucked.

I did a Gbroker search on the model 600 and came across a few calibers I wasn't aware of.

There might be some Kalashnikov design influence there.
