In NY, I'm pretty sure that in order to change your party affiliation, you must submit the paperwork to change, but it doesn't go into effect until the next election cycle has passed, (2 years).

At least that's how I remember it when I changed my party affiliation many moon ago.

Yeah, let's just forget about the real "terrorists" like Antifa, BLM, etc. The fix is already in boys and they're not even trying to hide it.

In order to vote in the Primaries.

In NY primaries are the general election. I have been a DINO of good standing in Rush Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" for a decade or so. Even got to vote against Hiltlery twice in 2016.

Gun clubs members across NYS should register as "D". Then during the political season invite candidates to their organization to express views on the 2A. If they don't participate or are not supportive then the club will back a primary challenge against this official by a more 2A favorable individual. When these grifters see the $$$ going elsewhere they will rethink their position.

Republicans will never regain any importance in NYS by defeating Dem candidates in the general elections. But primaries can be decided by a handful of voters and a handful of votes. A focused block of voters in a given district can influence a primary. Just ask AOC.

So any notion that "I will never put a "D" after my name" is the perfect definition of insanity. You know by doing the same but expecting different.
