I call bullshit on the filters lasting 5 years. There is no way a paper filter will last that long sucking in 20+ humans dander, pet hair and lint 6 hours a day.

t sure if they last 5 years with cleaning or something. I agree I’ve never heard of a HEPA filter lasting over 12 months.

From the instruction manual they want you to vacuum the exterior of the unit itself to prolong the filter life. They do offer a 5 year prorated warranty on the filter...for residential use, not 20 disease factories in a school setting.
