I say lets hope this ruling sticks. ... My reasoning is this . If one was at the range to practice . Being able to wear one would be most comforting .All of us have been around someone that really should not be shooting a gun .

You gotta hand it to them, the grabbers are pretty creative at doing exactly that.
"Okay, body armor is legal, but kevlar material is banned in NY."
My reasoning is this: There is no reason even in the realm of justification that this should have ever been a thing.

The ruling placed a 14 day stay on the injunction, giving NYS time to appeal. Even the judge stated that NY is unlikely to win an appeal on the merits of the case, but a stay is customary. NY didn't even attempt to try the case on the merits, instead argueing that body armor isn't an arm and is therefore not covered by the 2nd. They (NY) clearly lost that arguement in the trial. I can't imagine what they will attempt to argue in the appeal. Either way, it's not likely to succeed. Will NY attempt to pass a new law ? Perhaps. Probably, even. But at some point even Governor Eyebrows has to cut her losses and go after bigger fish. The body armor ban was a feel-good response to the TOPS Shooter and may be forgotten after the appeals court rules against the State.
