As long as the people keep voting for the current and future crop of dictators running NY it will always be a lost cause. You will fight them in court in perpetuity. The change starts when the dictators get voted out.

I’m curious to get more perspective on this considering many states are moving farther and farther left while the most conservative states are thriving. Many moved to Florida, Texas, Idaho, and Tennessee recently and those states are thriving and moving farther right because that’s who’s moving there. Yes a few places are teetering like AZ and Texas is close but that’s because the tech industry in Texas and most of those are more liberal.
The fight isn’t at the state level it’s at the age level. These kids today are the farthest left they have ever been and it’s by design. The left is transimg the kids to convert them and their parents to join the left. The left is also literally bribing and paying people to vote for them. This is why we are losing not because we’re moving.
I will say the people fleeing NYS this time around could have made an impact on the election but the left still has a super majority and I don’t think that would have changed with our brothers and sisters back in NYS. Even if Zeldin was our governor it wouldn’t have lasted or done very much. If we stay and fight we are still stuck in a liberal stronghold and is living in NYS doesn’t impact if a lawsuit will be brought or if we will be successful in that lawsuit. NYS and many other states are lost causes. I used to think you or I could make a difference too, but I’ve come to realize things have changed and people are moving further left. Look at Hochul’s lies saying anyone can carry a gun under Bruen and her followers believe this. You won’t change their mind or their vote. Staying is a fools errand. I’ll be here for another 6-20 years depending on how things shake out so I’m stuck here with you but you’re wrong on staying here.

No one is saying give up on anything except NYS. NYS is a lost cause and if you feel differently then you’re clearly in the minority. No one is giving up on anything but how do you think we can get out of this in NYS? Voting doesn’t work because we’re so outnumbered, writing your legislators doesn’t work because they got elected running on gun control and scotus can only take us so far or hold out so long.
Yes this disease may spread across the country but when was the last time a true conservative was elected statewide in NYS? Pataki doesn’t count as a real conservative by the way. At least AZ is 50/50 and many other states a strong conservative is elected state wide 100% of the time so why is moving there to ensure that continues a bad thing? I’m not following your logic or is it just misery loves company and you don’t want to leave NYS so you want us around, it’s touching but I don’t see myself staying here forever.

Correct. This is why the left is fighting so hard to have drag queen kids days, drag day at the public library and teach your kids about being gay or trans in school. Parents will love their kids no matter what and transing the kids is a way to get many more people on the lefts side. This is why we’re losing, it’s the kids and in 10 years when the boomers die off and all these high school and middle school kids now are voting it won’t be good. The Biden admin has done a lot of damage and I fear there’s no correcting this spiral.

You sir are very correct. The fight is about everything in our lives and gun rights is actually only a small part of that. He’s it’s important but only a small part. When you think of it we are being wiped out completely. Conservative talk and free speech is being silenced, traditional family and marriage is under attack, your kids free thought is under attack as they are being brainwashed horribly. I just heard young adults polled now say 20% identify as LGBTQA up from around 4-5%. The younger generation will be three times that. My kids tell me everyone says they are something other than straight in their schools. Our finances and our daily lives are also at stake with EVs and all electric houses.
If I recall correctly you used to be in the camp of "stay and vote together to vote them out and take control back".
It's not realistic. Maybe in 2000 it was possible but it's just flat out wrong now and no one here should be thinking that way. It's not logical. We can never out vote or out maneuver the Dems who laugh in the face of SCOTUS rulings as they circumvent them. It's a lost cause. To come to that realization doesn't mean we don't care or aren't still willing to fight. It's not an " either or" argument. You can recognize and accept it and still fight it but being delusional that this state can be saved is just not realistic.
IMO I mean this completely sincerely. In my .02 cents I think The best possible outcome is red states get redder, and blue states get bluer. We get a divorce and break up the country as we know it into with regional "states" or make each state a self governing state as they were likely intended to be. We can still all have free trade agreements and a shared military and national border but let blue and red states completely govern themselves. I have no idea how difficult it would be but I think it's the best way to try to salvage what's left of our nation because I'm worried about the path it's on.
That is how the United States was intended. The Federal government was intended to be small and relatively powerless while each State governed itself, free to experiment with various governing methods. When the Civil War happened, Lincoln siezed a great deal of power for the Federal government. Since that time, each State has been losing it's sovereignty while the Federal government absorbs more and more authority.
There was, originally, an understanding that each State would govern itself as it saw fit. That, however, proved impossible while still maintaining peaceful relationships with all the other States. Federalism intervened to keep the Country united, lest that it would have otherwise separated well over 100 years ago.
Just like EVERY other governing body throughout history, the Federal government cannot stop trying to feed it's never ending desire for yet more power. The Feds steal power from the States. The State steals power from the counties. The Counties steal power from the citizen. The Citizen is no longer Sovereign. And so it goes, until the Citizen stands up and SIEZES HIS SOVIERGNTY FROM THE GOVERNMENT.
That, my friends, is the history of the human race.

I love NY i just hate the liberal government. NY offers alot. Many of times id be hunting or fishing in the mountain's at 4am and at 6pm enjoying a steak dinner in Manhattan. I also really enjoy all 4 seasons. If i were to ever move id def stay in the northeast. NH, MA, RI i really enjoy. I dont care how cheap the south is, its not for me.

No never. I never thought voting solved anything at all in NYS. I’ve always voted but said the people I vote for never get elected and my vote doesn’t matter.
What I used to do and be some what successful at was pointing out the lefts lies on social media and having civil conversation with the lefties to have them see that the headline in the article didn’t match the article content or the facts don’t line up with their opinion and get them semi on our side. That stopped about two years ago so I deleted my accounts and gave up.
