I am not familiar with any glock product specifically tailored to NY other than the NYPD trigger. Can you expand on that?

I thought Glock discontinued all Gen 5 production and shifted to the Gen V series to be "compliant" with states that didn't want slides compatible with a "switch?"

So here is the solution from Glock. Engineer a drop in trigger pack that does not have a cruciform trigger, price point of $100 the same as the pro trigger pack.
If they were a company that gave a fuck about fighting these bullshit states offer it at a significant discount (cost) upon return of the OE trigger after being installed by a certified armorer.

Here's a better solution for Glock, Sig, S&W AND Hk. STOP SELLING TO LE AGENCIES. LE agencies in NY should be required to issued USPs, Sig P 22x series and Berettas. Watch how many female POs fail qualifications with DA/SA triggers and then watch the political class screech.

They have the option to replace the OEM trigger at GLOCK with a NYS legal trigger. They have been installing it for NYS Probation and Court Officers already. It’s been available and they are postured to provide while we wait for this new law to be rescinded. I’ll get the info for that.

That is certainly interesting. Why exactly would probation or a court officer need a NY legal trigger though? Are they not both sworn officers with dept issued firearms and do not have to abide by State restrictions?

*edit* I could find no parts breakdown but found a disassembly video of the "performance trigger". While not branded as ny legal, I do not see a cruciform shape on the trigger bar.

Clarence the Man Thomas is signaling that SCOTUS needs to do more spanking of lower courts not just in cases involving criminals, but especially in cases involving the law abiding. He is stating that the need to put lower courts in their place and protect law abiding citizens is clear and SCOTUS needs to be exercising that muscle. Oh you’re looking for specifics and clarity in a NYS legislature written law? Yes VERY unclear for FFLs to comply, Zero guidance on State Police resource page. In the quotes I’ve been given before “You’ll need to retain a lawyer to get an answer to that question. But what ever you do you have full liability. Thank you for calling the Safe Act Desk.”

Oh and it will take three years for the US Supreme Court to decide it is unconstitutional just like they already did for the same law out of CA. Anyone notice Illinois passed the same law the same way the same day? Weird!

The NYPD trigger was 12lb but I believe they discontinued its use a couple years ago. Is there an "inbetween" trigger?

Call NYS Gun-Laws or email them. I did and the answer given was May 31, 2027.

That's great but try finding a new or even used "banned" model as Glock has stopped making them a while ago. Even the new V model uses the same transfer bar with the exception that they are not accessible like the old ones. That is until someone figures out how to circumvent that, then they will be banned too. I personally don't like Glock but it just another steppingstone for more idiotic gun laws and that is what has me pissed.

It was passed attach to the budget for a reason. They don’t want your opinion and they don’t take it under advisement anyway. I have emailed my representatives and those in nearby districts and I do not get a response. Not a word outside of we received your email.
I did get a response once from an email I sent to my county executive about the week long driving ban when the national guard got the Buffalo Bills to the airport explaining how people might need food and medicine after a week. I added how the national guard should be helping clear the streets or get these supplies instead of ticketing and arresting people for driving to get these things. I got back that the county executive never ordered this behavior. So I shot back with all the local papers misquoted him and are lying and his representative told me yes, that the papers were wrong. They had pictures of the guard hummers blocking the way into the city and out of the city. So what will contacting them do? I’ve offered to sit down and discuss ways to improve spending and the economy and k get nothing. This is all the way from local people to state senators. We would have to have many people contact each representative and many democrats do it and show an overwhelming support and that won’t happen. It would have to threaten their power and the only thing strong enough to do that is the economy and costs right now.

Yes, this is the way it’s supposed to work but even having 500-1,000 people contact them is a drop in the bucket.

I wholeheartedly agree but how many gun owners are in this state that are simply too damn lazy to try. 10,000, half a million how many of us are there? Seems like every other weird ass group greases the squeaky wheel and gets things done. All we can do is face the fact that most gun owners like to bitch or simply can't or won't be bothered to act. If we all did as you and I do it "may" be possible to be heard and taken seriously. I got permission to hang a sign in my FFL's shop that gives names and phone numbers along with email addresses so that when the inevitable bitching starts, we can just point to the sign. Tired of hearing it!

Yea, we always have to play defense because most just grin and bear it when we shouldn't have to in the first place. Just more ways of banning certain firearms without actually banning them.

Your reps both probably support this as mine do as well. Most of our elected elite class support this. Probably even half of the ones with an R in front of their names.
