Democrats have a problem with speaking the truth. Anything and everything they say never has any basis in the truth. It's like facts don't matter to them.
I don't think I'm being a dick, because it's true.
Prove me wrong.

So is this "Emergency Medicaid" and the expanded preventive and primary care benefits listed in this flyer paid for by Federal Medicaid, or through State funds (that may then be reimbursed by the Feds)?
Inquiring minds want to know (to better refute CNN's claims)

This is possibly the best thing to come of this so far.
SNAP benefits face 'insufficient funds' in November if shutdown continues, USDA warns
Some states are warning that funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program may not be available if the government shutdown continues.

The longer the Schumer shutdown goes on, the more the Democrat Party is going to get damaged.
The Fake News Media will do all it can do. However, I think their propaganda will become less and less effective as time goes on. IMHO
I'm hoping the Democrats double down on stupid. YMMV for reasons, but in my case, the shutdown doesn't personally affect me in any way, except for watching the Democrats dig their own political hole. lol

I sure hope you are right. But I have doubts. As time goes on, i bet we`re going to lose the midterms, bigly.
I`m trying to find something that debunks all the shit we`ve been seeing and hearing about, but this shit story seems to be true.
US soybean crisis is a 'man-made disaster caused by' Trump. And farmers know it. | Opinion
On Oct. 10, Trump escalated trade tensions with China. By Oct. 12, he was posting that 'it will all be fine.' But that doesn't help America's farmers.

It's still shut down? Huh...I didn't even notice.

Making cider this weekend and none of my kids will be able to make it. All are either directly or indirectly affected by the shutdown. However they are unwavering in their support of the current administration.
Sucks.

The democrats are always playing a game of chicken with the shutdowns.
They want to use them for leverage, but if they go on too long people start to wonder why we need to start it back up again.
Which is why during a shutdown when they're in the white house they'll actually spend *more* money to create visible signs of the shutdown.
The one I remember is then closing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial for a shutdown in DC.
There is no cost to keeping it open, it's not manned. They had to specifically send people out to rope it off to shut it down.
Just doing what they do on school budgets.
Feds,
cut all programs for illegal invaders.
Throw the invaders out.
Cut all funds to Communist countries.
Cut the slush being used for lazy people and close the welfare loop holes.

AS EXPLAINED BEFORE..............................Fed dollars for Medicaid GO TO THE STATES..............where the states like NYS, simply divert it/ use it, for illegal aliens health care.
NYS also pay for illegals rent, cars, education, food, clothing, vacations, drivers licenses, and MANY OTHER CCP ORDERED POLICIES................... OUT OF ALBANY.

Refugee centers for resettlement of illegals, are FORTUNATELY, being strangled by Trump.

Be honest with us, do you even care in the least?...most of us DGAF!
As much shit as the democrats are taking over this shut down, I have to wonder if there's really a plan behind it or shit-head Schumer's last attempt at being relevant before he's out of Office?

They did shut down the National Zoo webcams AGAIN. Are we normally paying people to operate these things that just sit there and send video out to the world?

No suprise. This circuit sucks.
I went to Drum last weekend and things were running pretty much as they always have...The Federal Police were all working even though they won't get a paycheck, they will be paid once Funding is back up and running, it's less than ideal, but we knew what we were getting into when we swore the Oath, and while it sucks there are those that still believe in the concept of "Duty".
This is the whole thing, they will get the paycheck; it might be late, but they will 100% get their checks. As soon as the circus creatures vote in the positive.
May suck for a bit, but, they will all be paid.

It is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. How does one even "shut down" a wall? lmao

Read an article about why there's a shortage of labor for some positions like that during a shutdown, even when most are working.
If they take vacation time during a shutdown, when the shutdown is over it's counted as "furlough" not against their vacation time. But they get the back pay all the same.
So, there's a very strong incentive for all of them to take as much of their saved vacation time as they can, because when it's all done they get it all back.
i would not be surprised if heil hochul orders the NYSP to stop processing background checks with the claim that the Fed system is offline for the shutdown.
This would get a lot of "at least they didn't touch my shotgun" crowd to think this is all Trump's fault.

But this is the first week without pay. Lets see how many keep working.
Many of them will. I know a few that work for the government on different levels, they have great dedication to the job, they understand that their roles are important, they will continue to work. They will all get their checks.
NICS is NOT down. All employees are required to work.
Shut down to public visitation, but those animals must be fed and cared for every single day, so there are people there doing pretty much the same thing they normally do, and if they charged admission and held fund raising the way the Post Office (well maybe that's a bad example) or NPR. oh wait, that's another fucked up quasi-government entity, well damn, I hope the Animals don't suffer. They did shut down the National Zoo webcams AGAIN. Lord only knows what they are really after, but when it reaches a certain point, shumer will allow a few senators from swing states to vote the existing budget, declare victory and end the shutdown. More theater from the party that, among other absurdities, cannot define what a woman is.
