Of late all my handguns are 19s and all three added up equal my age. Same manual of arms, easy to clean, muscle memory, interchangeable parts and magazines, same holsters (I have several kinds)... one for the range (with some enhancements); one for carry and car; and one for the bedroom electronic safe. From a defensive weapon point of view I think I've got handgun needs covered.

Glocks are not perfection but they work.

And actually, Glock 19 Gen4s work very well for me after going larger and smaller and trying most of the major styles of handguns at higher levels. Not saying I won't get another cool range toy but that's just it, it only has to be a range toy and my life doesn't need to depend on it.

Picked it up today and put 100 rounds through it quick. It's definitely different shooting with an optic but I like it, finding the dot off the draw seems to be the toughest part so far.

This is my Glock 34 Gen 4 USPSA production gun. Has a few modifications from stock including Dawson Precision sights, DK custom trigger kit with the Lone Wolf connector replaced by a Ghost 3.5 Ultimate connector (makes a perfectly crisp 3lb pull with a reduce pre-travel, no over-travel, and short reset), Jentra XL competition stainless steel recoil guide rod with a 14lb Wolff spring, Jentra punisher grip plug and an extended mag release.

It's a DK Custom trigger. Link is posted below. It maintains the Glock OEM trigger shoe to make it USPSA production legal but shortens the pre-travel, over-travel and reset. I was getting 2.5lbs on my wheeler trigger gauge but found I shot at distance better with a slightly heavier trigger so I swapped in the ghost ultimate connector that I had previous to this trigger (now pulls 3lbs, crisp break) and its perfect for me.

I went with one of these. TAC I like that it kept all the safeties. I also dropped in a minus connector. With the gun not really being broke in coupled with my novice shooting ability I can't tell if it was worth it or not.

Swapping the springs, having polished parts and a properly shaped trigger bar is where all the weight reduction in the pull comes from, from what I understand. If the trigger didn't come with a spring kit or anything then I would imagine its more polished and smoother than the OEM trigger but I'm not sure about the weight of the pull. I like the way the trigger shoe looks on that though, very sharp!

I've only had a chance to put 300 through it so far. I say this because I think it will go from a good trigger to a great trigger when it's broke in. I don't have much experience with different triggers so take my review with a grain of salt.

First I think everything it was advertised was spot on. The pre travel is smooth and much much shorter. The wall is predictable with a good feel. The break is as crisp as a high end rifle trigger. Also as advertised it a clear tactile reset. On more of the personal side I thing looks great and feels great. This was my first flat faced trigger and it won't be my last. I also like how it keeps all the safeties intact.

OK time for the meh side of the review. Although the wall is good and the break is clean, the trigger is still slightly heavier than what I had hoped. I wasn't expecting a 1911 trigger, but I do shoot one often and wanted to be a little closer to one. Now mind you I did only put in a minus connector. Maybe sometime I will play around with different connectors or maybe even one of the polished plungers. But my suspicion is that the trigger will get better with break in.

Lastly if I had recommend this trigger I absolutely would. I do think for my next gun I would try a different one for comparison. But I do plan on putting one of these on my G43.
