I always wondered why he picked her in the first place. The fiasco of her ghost written autobiography was enough to permanently eliminate her from any future role in politics or government.

Although I was never impressed by her performance, I have to believe the timing includes a surrender to the Senate swamp holding up the budget.

Doesn't sound much like a "Firing" which generally implies you're done here right now, instead she's being located elsewhere:

“I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026. The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida,” Trump said.

I'm certain she did everything Trump told her to do during her tenure as Homeland Security Secretary. But, now that it's unpopular somebody has to be the fall guy (fall gal in this case) and she's the sacrificial lamb. This new job is a low-profile golden parachute for her to take the fall.

You are missing the entire point of her original, outrageous, Beauty Queen appointment.

Trump needed a disposable HAMMER to capture deport, kill in some cases, maim and slaughter, god damned criminal slime and DNC potential voters from the face of the USA.

She did pretty good at it and looked good along the way.

Good Cop, Bad Cop.
