I didn't even know I was thrown under the bus and run over multiple times until I saw John Starks post with my name in it referring to the hit and run since I have the driver on ignore. McCarthy is a miserable RINOcon turd. HOWEVER the holdouts actually achieved their goals, McCarthy had to agree to numerous concessions which have effectively neutered him.
Since McCarthy as speaker of the house was an inevitability I see this as a big win.
In particular the Republicans gaining subpoena powers while denying the same to the democrats combined with forcing McCarthy to guarantee various committee seats to freedom caucus members is very good. Tge Cherry on the top, amd the teeth enforcing the other concessions is that a single motion for a No Confidence vote is all it takes to get that ball rolling now. By this provision McCarthy's feet will be held to the fire for the next two years.
These entire proceedings have been the silver lining to the very dark political clouds of tge last three years.
It has shown that the Poplulists are gaining power in the GOP and actually have some GODDAMN BALLS!
