Respectfully disagree. The CIA was officially created in 1947. In 14 years they had gotten powerful enough to assassinate the president. There was a gray area where their authority ended and they used that to maximum advantage. By default or design they seized more power than intended and quickly blackmailed or corrupted the legislative branch. Using that branch they brought down the executive branch (nixon). Based on some recent Supreme Court decisions one could argue they have gotten to the judicial branch as well.

By any reasonable standard they are much more problem than benefit. They need to be eliminated. With extreme prejudice if necessary.

Of course it does, everything does. Thats why the word 'purge' was created. This was not overlooked by the founders and is explained fairly clear. We the people just haven't done our duty.

Hamas is nothing but a bunch of cowardly barbarians. It's unfortunate that many civilians are going to die but this is entirely the responsibility of Hamas.

They don't give a shit; every death the can use to support their cause by vilifying the Israelis, while attributing the death to the will of Allah. (to them, he has predetermined everything)

Once the second (un)-Civil War has begun, everyone, every agency, every bureaucracy, every petty fiefdom is subject to being "purged" and that "Security Detail" the politicians think is going to keep them safe and in power/control; yea, that's only going to go so far before it falls apart or someone finds a chink in the armor...'Purge' will be an understatement.

There is no "confiscation".

There is no country of "Gaza" or "Palestine" and there never has been.

Those reserves *were* owned by Egypt, until they lost the Gaza territory in the 67 war. Isreal offered the territory back, but because it was infested with revolutionary terrorists, they declined.

Then in 2005 Isreal offered the territory to the Palestinian people living there. But they also refused to accept it, because they would have had to recognize Isreal exists.

So, Gaza, and any off shore mineral rights attached to it, is Isreali property now, and has been since Egypt lost it in 67.

Isreal isn't confiscating anything. They've owned it for decades already.
