I still don't know what the strategy will be. Sending their army into the gaza strip will be like Leningrad 2.0. It will result in lots of casualties for the IDF. Their blood is boiling now but what will they do a month or two from now when they occupy only half of gaza and they take hundreds or thousands of casualties per day.

Nah, the IDF will be able to go anywhere in Gaza with impunity within a day or two.

The hard part is going to be sorting the real Hamas from the meat shields they are using to hide behind.

It will be like us in Afghanistan. There is no place we can't go, but we don't have the stomach to kill enough "bystanders" to truly root out the enemy.

But, if Isreal has the balls to say "well, if Hamas is hiding behind you, sorry pal, but you're in the way" then maybe they can kill enough of them to reset things.

Note, the casualties would be *very* high, but honestly, if you were cheering in the street for this attack, then fuck you, you deserve the wrath.

I was curious about all these stories in the mainstream press that were published right after the attacks claiming Iranian responsibility for planning and supporting them. Iranian involvement didn't surprise me. What surprised me is how did journalists get the story so quickly. Here is an interesting comment:


The WSJ article that laid the blame on Iran was primarily written by a reporter who was fired for dishonesty. Let that sink in.

Couple that with the warning by the Egyptians and something seems very off here.

BREAKING: Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir just axed a ton of #guncontrol for the security of their free state. TRANSLATION BELOW Today I directed the Firearms Licensing Division to go on an emergency operation, in order to allow as many citizens as possible to arm themselves. The plan will take effect within 24 hours, below are its main points: 1. Any citizen who meets the detailed tests for carrying a private firearm due to self-defense and serving the security forces, and is without a criminal or medical record, will be required to undergo a telephone interview instead of a physical interview, and will be able to receive permission to carry a firearm within a week.
2. Any citizen who received a conditional permit to purchase a firearm and did not purchase a firearm during the year 2023 and the conditional license has expired, will be able to purchase a firearm now without the need to submit another application. The exemption will apply to about 4000 citizens.
3. Any citizen who deposited his weapon in the last six months due to failure to perform refresher training or renewal training, will be able to receive his weapon back. The exemption will apply to about 1800 citizens.

4. In addition, starting next Tuesday, conditional permits to carry firearms will be issued with a permit allowing the purchase of up to 100 bullets instead of 50 today.
All this in addition to the criteria change that should happen soon.
I thank the members of the Firearms Licensing Division, the Civil Response Department of the Israel Police and the employees of the Ministry of Health for the very important commitment that will allow as many citizens as possible to arm themselves and protect themselves and their environment when necessary.

Seems to me that they only trust their citizenry with guns when the state is in jeopardy. interesting and ironic.
I love the "Barney" clause, 'allowed to purchase up to 100 bullets instead of 50 today'. I guess their masters trust them twice as much today, buuuuuuut not completely. Just go out there and lay your life on the line, 100 bullets should do it!

Better than what the Russians did in that movie Enemy at the Gates in Stalingrad. To paraphrase, they gave one soldier a rifle, he charges first, followed by the second guy with one bullet "when the soldier with the rifle dies, the soldier with the bullet picks up the rifle and loads it.........."

Reminds me of the scene from the movie "Enemy at the Gates". The Russian soldiers who were defending Stalingrad. One soldier got a rifle and the next got a single stripper clip with 5 rounds. I really think the Israeli govt has some serious trust issues with it's own people.

Hamas is not going to be destroyed. U.S. has vested interest in keeping this conflict going as well as all other conflicts to keep dependency on U.S. military aid, alliances and U.S. military bases throughout the world. This has been going on for decades. Globalism is new term for Imperialism.

I bet most people don't know this but it was actually Soviet Union who pushed for creation of Israel. Israeli military was built by the Soviet advisers. Soviets smuggled weapons to Israel during 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Soviet Union was the first nation to give de jour recognition of the state of Israel. Few years later Israel was bought off and lured away from the Soviets and Soviet Union started to support Arab states. If you are falling from your chair in disbelief, google it.

In a bit of irony most of those weapons that were given to Israel were actually Nazi weapons from WW2.

Yes, most of them were WWII Nazi weapons captured by the Red Army. They were smuggled through Czechoslovakia. Soviets also trained Jewish Intelligence Services in Palestine.

Every other word they say is Iran. Count how many times you hear Iran on the news tonight . Im beginning to think Iran may have been the prize all along . Considering they are arming russia with drones and ammo , A strike on Iran could slow the Russians down for a year.

We were told Hezbollah joined in then they were going to join in and still nothing . I would imagine they were told to stand down at all costs to prevent the US from joining the fight and possibly striking Iran and its drone manufacturing plants.
