Pretty soon Tenn will be so over populated (like florida), people will move there, then move right back out. I know several that didn`t make it 2yrs there and moved back out of Tenn.
You'd be surprised how many move to Florida and move back...
My Daughter-in-laws Father has been bouncing back and forth to TN for a couple years now, he can't make up his fucking mind and comes back here expecting the "Return of the Prodigal Son" welcome.
I've looked there several times, I've Family a half hour from the AL/TN State Line, and somethings always managed to thwart any realistic plans to move there...Beretta moved there, RemArms was or tried to make a go there, Kahr Arms (Auto Ordnance, Thompson, BFR, etc.) is rumored to be moving there, in fact several Gun Companies have or are moving to Tennessee...I like the Eastern to Central (I-65) part of the State, FUCK Memphis! Nashville was worth visiting...by the time I'm "Free" I'll be to entrenched to do anything by vacation/winter anywhere else, so I've got to keep fighting to regain the State from the Democrats/Liberals/Leftist that have fucked it up.
BTW: Real estate in TN has gone bat-shit crazy!

I was once stuck in traffic from north of Knoxville all the way to Nashville. Stop and go, bumper to bumper, the Entire! Fucking! Way!

That's an hour from me. Real Estate was considerably less expensive in AL when I moved here. It was tempting but I had wanted to move to TN for so long I couldn't convince myself to go anywhere else.

Actually, no, it would not surprise me one bit. I have family who still live there but i hear all the horror stories. My father retired there, yet he passed away up here in NY after moving back up here from florida.
Yep, my wife an i looked at real-estate in eastern tenn. Nothing affordable, not even close compared to what we have right where we are living right now. (it`s pretty hard to give up all the land we have, our own 3 gun ranges, with a huge trout stream thru the middle of our land, tons of deer hunting)
I`m not a fan of the south anyway. It didn`t take much to convince my wife that i hated the south and i never wanted to move back there ever again. We spent some time living in NC, i couldn`t stand the place. Their southern babyfied accent sounds like a bunch of retarded children who couldn`t even make it to kindergarten due to not having enough smarts to qualify for it. All we ever heard was "weel, mah doddy does thee`iss, mah doddy duuz thay`at.". What a bunch of fucked up weirdo`s! No wonder they lost the fuckin civil war, lol. When we move, it will be out west of the rockies.
Having a long Native Floridian History folks find it hard to understand why we live here...Sold a $300K House in a Gated Community because I so disliked what the State has become (see the Book "Hot, Flat, and Over Crowded") Developers raping the Land, Beltways and Four Lane Residential Roads replacing Trails to Natural Springs, I'll miss The Citrus Industry that's all but dead now, Scrub-Cattle, Water everywhere full of Fish, birds, and Reptiles...no, the only way I'll live there again is in our Family Cemetery.
What about the pan handle? I've heard thats a lot more "old Florida" and has been ruined yet.
Florida is a nice place to visit but I don't think I could live there. I don't like south Florida, it's not my scene and central Florida more or less the I-4 corridor has over developed into continuous suburban hellscape full of absurd traffic and tourists. It used to be nice 20-30 years ago now it's just out of control chaos.
