He really is the penguin!

There is no reason anyone should be able to become a career politician, its absurd. I wish the founders had addressed this from the start. To get people to vote themselves out of a job where they all become millionaires is not going to happen now.

There's only two reasons a politician hangs up the towel.
1) his/her seat is being eliminated
2) to prevent being arrested for corruption

I think they know how much damage Biden has caused and he fits that narrative. He can barely speak and stutters a lot. It would not surprise me if he’s corrupt and has something coming out of the woodwork though.

Well, we know he isn`t retiring due to brain cancer. You`d have to have a brain, for that to happen.
He probably ran out of places to hide all the back door dark money and going on a journey to find more hiding places.

GOOD RIDDENCE YOU POS

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, 78, will not seek re-election as longtime NY Democrat stresses need for ‘generational change’ after Biden’s decline

“Watching the Biden thing really said something about the necessity for generational change in the party,” the congressman told the New York Times, “and I think I want to respect that.”

I think his District is in danger from redistricting....
Term Limits MUST be implemented for the exact same reason why the Presidency was limited to two terms: The propensity and possibility of the President becoming too powerful must restrained.
Congress was never meant to be a lifelong career, but fuck me, over thirty years in Government is long enough! They've made multiple MILLIONS while "serving" the People, which in itself is highly suspicious unless there's a (D) after your name.
It's said that many men die in a year or two after retiring....one can only hope.

We have a mechanism to limit politicians terms, it's called voting.

I shat you not.

Of course, but getting these clowns to pass term limits is not likely to ever happen. The power and corruption is so strong that its not likely that enough people could be elected during the same congress that would pass such a thing.

You`re right! Why would they pass a law that takes their employment and making themselves millionaires away. And on the flip side of that.... If we have term limits, we would be getting rid of someone worth having in there only to remove them for something much worse. Seems we need to change the people who vote, more than we need to change the politician. If we could only stop stupid people from voting, the problem would likely fix its self on its own and we could possibly have a better elected employee working for us. I dunno, just a thought.

Id favor term limits over anything else. We also need campaign finance reform so that an unknown person can reasonably compete with an incumbent. When these politicians have billions at their disposal how can a regular person compete?

Stopping stupid people from voting... lol, that would likely be 65% of the population.

The problem is that power corrupts, and politicians in office for too long get too powerful. Its too easy for them to stay in power, so we have to take away their ability to be there for too long, and we have to take away their ability to become millionaires while there.

But 65% of the population doesn`t vote anyway...lol, shit, look how many gun owners don`t even vote. That alone, is telling. But i get what you`re sayin brother. I don`t know what will ever get us out of this mess, but i do know, that our country is deep in the shidder because of all the dumb that runs wild. It would be awesome if the dumb could just hold their breath for a week, that would help...lol.
