Not sure debates for State Races in NY, especially for Attorney General or Comptroller make much of a difference. For example, in some of the most one sided debates Faso cleaned whore monger Spitzer's clock and Pirro embarrassed FUAC ( I was at the debates) and they got no credit in the press and debate mastery made little difference to independents who did not watch the limited coverage. (BTW, Gov Spitzer and Comptroller Hevisi who Faso roasted both had to resign when the press finally went after them AFTER the election) The masses pretty much show up and voted Blue as they are told.
