Lee Zeldin… one of the G.O.A.T.s and, in my opinion, one of the few good cabinet picks. I’ve had the chance to meet him several times, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. I’ve seen a lot of discussion threads about him lately, so it makes sense to have a dedicated one, just like we do for the President.

Overall, I think he’s doing an excellent job leading the EPA. One thing that does surprise me, however, is that he hasn’t taken any steps toward addressing DPF and EGR regulations on diesel vehicles. Given some of his other regulatory positions, that’s an area I would have expected to see movement on by now.

Like most things in this administration there was a lot of hopes and the actuality is not impressive. All the huff and puff over emission changes and all they came up with was relaxing the time before a truck goes into limp mode for bad DPF sensor

The U.S. EPA under Administrator Lee Zeldin recently removed the requirement for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) sensors in diesel vehicles, allowing NOx sensors to meet regulatory standards instead, as announced in March 2026. Emissions tampering, including DPF or EGR removal, remains illegal under the Clean Air Act with penalties up to $45,268 per violation and additional fines for selling defeat devices.

Correct. But he should be able to get the dice rolling to get congress to remove it! That’s what we want to see. Our trucks, our semi trucks are being destroyed.
