My Newest AR firearm. With brace fully collapsed it is 27 inches. Went with a 16” with a guntech fake suppressor permanently attached. The fake suppressor adds weight to the end of the barrel so it acts like a muzzle brake in the sense it helps to counter act muzzle rise.

I like it. Was around $30 or so online. Basically goes on reverse of a normal suppressor. Instead of attaching to the end of the barrel and sticking out longer, it slides over the barrel. It has internal threads and screws on. I had it pinned on permanently by my gunsmith.

I like how it gives you the look of an sbr and suppressor while still giving you a normal 16” barrel underneath

Cool, thanks. That was pretty much what I have in mind. I am not generally a fan of the spur but you have a nice looking build there!

And I shoot it one handed using the brace for support. Occasionally it has been shot with the brace shouldered as well. I like that I can shoot it both ways

Why not just run a PG on it though? Being that it's a brace it's not a rifle and is not a pistol due to size.

Pistol grip? Because it has detachable magazine and with the law is so poorly written I was unsure if NY would consider it an assault weapon.

pretty sure there's been entire threads on this subject explaing that that is exactly how it works. put a PG and a VFG on it and you have an other akin to a mossberg shockwave.

Upgraded my scorpion evo. Added strike industries handstop, thordsen adapter so I could add Magpul fixed carbine stock, spur grip, and then billet aluminum extending charging handle and extended magazine release in anodized red.
Side note the spur grip works better on the scorpion evo than an AR15 due to the evo having a slight curve to the trigger guard that allows my hand to grip it better. Next step is going to be a new safety selector and a new trigger

I finished sighting in my Ruger GSR in .308 Win / 7.62x51 this past weekend after mounting a Burris Scout 2-7 x 32 on it.
I wanted the concept Scout Rifle so the forward mounted scope. Finding field of view both eyes open does not seem a problem. Steel sights do not hinder field of view.
I guesstimate the rear eyepiece is .005” off the rail as I could only fit one piece of note paper between the scope and rail. Two would not go. Scope cannot move any farther forward or will impinge against rail might be able to move back 3/16”. All screws torqued. Firing Federal 7.62x51 149 grain fmj my hits were about 1”+ high @ 100 yards. Really like the trigger break my guess is 4-5 lbs very predictable.
The rifle came with a steel 10 round magazine but is shown with a Magpul polymer 5 round. @Airborneguy

The rifle is much nicer to be around sans 10 round magazine. The larger mag is heavier and makes rifle more difficult to manage. I’m sure it has a place but not hunting or range time.

Klubfunstore in rochester used to have them in stock 16" non-threaded. Otherwise midway has some non-threaded, but the cheapest one was a 24" stainless steel last I checked. They are kind of a hassle to find sometimes but with enough looking around you can get one still for $90 or so.
