Wasn't this touted as an equitable trade-off to eliminate any chance the S.C. would bar these background checks as an unConstitutional burden on an enumerated Right?
Maybe we should require background checks for everyone who wants to vote. Both when they register and when they actually show up to vote. And not allow them to vote if the background check does not come back in 3 days.
