Looking for a recommendation;- What medical kit does everyone carry in there range bag?
Medical/ Trauma Kit

- Start date
I assembled my own. Start with this Individual Patrol Officer Kit (IPOK)
Add some combat gauze and a couple of chest seals and you have the basics.
None of it is worth much unless you are trained to use it.

Better off getting some information from a trained/experienced EMT or Medic to make a bag. Don't waste money on pre-made kits.
As a Medic I carry a kit with:
(4) tourniquets
(2) occlusive dressings
(1) 14ga decompression needle
(2) 10x30 multi trauma dressings
(4) 5x9 abdominal pads
(4) 4x4 gauze pads
(8) 4x4 Quikclot gauze pads
(2) 2" Quikclot roller gauze
(4) Assorted size roller gauze
(1) Roll 3" tape
(1) Roll 1" tape
(4) Assorted clamps
Pair Raptor sheers
Nitrile gloves
(4) Chloroprep scrubs
In my truck I always have (3) IV start packs, (2) 1L 0.9% normal saline and a pack of nasal pharangyeal airways.

This may be just a little to much for a IFAK
D.A.R.K. Explorer Kit
Be prepared. Carry a trauma kit. Stop the Bleed and start the breathing. Every Day Trauma Training and easy to use Trauma Kits and Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK)
darkangelmedical.com
I love this site. I want to order one of their vehicle kits.
Edit: I wasn't exactly clear. I did buy an ifak from this company.

This^^^^^. Build your own bag. With stuff you know and are comfortable using if needed. If possible get an EMT or medic to help you if you’re unsure of what to get. And get some medical training. All the greatest gear is worthless if you don’t know how to use it.
For what it’s worth I’m a volley EMT. Have a pouch on my belt with medical gloves because people are gross I have an ankle ifak with:
Cat 7 tourniquet
Israeli pressure bandage
Compact trauma shears
Next up is my med backpack. I throw this in other vehicles if I’m going somewhere, take it hiking, will take it on calls if a patient is reported to be somewhere we might have to hike to. Not suggesting you carry all this but maybe it will give you some ideas:
Cat 7 tourniquets
Israeli pressure bandages
4x4’s
Roller gauze
Tape
Band aids
Quick clot gauze
Burn dressings
Chest seals
OPA’s
NPA’s
Adult bvm
BP cuff
Stethoscope
Pulse ox
Sam splints
Triangle bandages
Gloves
Emesis bags
Raptor trauma shears
Pen light
Alcohol wipes
Then there is my house bag. Definitely overkill for most people but I live in a small town where more help could be a little ways out. And I often act up as an assistant chief and go directly to the scene of calls to provide initial care so I wanted more in this bag:
Cat 7 tourniquets
Israeli pressure dressings
4x4’s
2x2’s
Band aids
Roller gauze
Assorted trauma dressings
Ace bandages
Triangle bandages
Burn dressings
Chest seals
Tape
Emesis bags
Alcohol wipes
Gloves/masks
Hot/cold packs
Sam splints
Sterile water
C collars
O2 cylinder
Adult/ped non rebreathers/nasal cannulas
Adult/ped bvm
OPA’s/NPA’s
Pen light
Thermometer
Trauma shears
Stethoscope
Bp cuff
Pulse ox
Glucometer
Oral glucose
Narcan
Aspirin
AED
And a mega mover in my truck-picture a tarp with handles for moving patients.
This bag is heavy and doesn’t travel far.
Believe it or not, it's not a lot.
I put together my own IFAK. It is very complete, full and is not all that huge. I have a more complete Medical Kit in my truck. A bit fuller and a bit larger.
I spoke with a few people here that know about these things and went with their recommendations

Are you able to obtain IV saline through your profession/licensing? I have not been able to obtain saline or ringers reliably even in veterinary sources.

I have a vintage "combat lifesaver" bag that was issued to me, I have kept the contents updated as its aged. The only things I have added were a cat tourniquet, and quick clot.
My house kit is much more robust to include basic diagnostic equipment, wound closure and some low level basic surgery instruments.

Sounds like more than it is.

Now *that's* an "oh shit" kit
Too many people pack some bandaids, aspirin and neosporin and call it a first aid kit.
If everything your kit can handle, I could just wait till I get home for, then it's not much of a kit.

Training and more training(and self study). you can improvise a lot on scene......if you have the knowledge.

Brady Emergency Care
I assembled my own.
A little bulky but still smallish about 6×8×6. It's contained in a tear off bag that can be attached to outside of a backpack and quickly released (one clip and velcro) when needed or just carried separately.
Might as well do an inventory while I'm thinking about it.
The core is built around a D.A.R.K. (Direct Action Response Kit by Dark Angle Medical that includes:
1 combat gauze
1 pair HALO chest seals
1 4" Israeli bandage
1 compressed gauze
1 Nasopharyngeal airway
1 pair nitrile gloves
1 CAT tourniquet
1 pair of medical shears
I supplemented with following:
1/2 of 36" SAM splint (the other half is in another kit)
1 pair tweezers
2 pair nitrile gloves
1 sharpie marker
1 box weatherproof matches
1 ACE bandage
1 roll waterproof tape
1 bottle eye drops
1 instant ice pack
1 Emergency Trauma bandage
1 CPR microshield
4 packs Pedialyte
1 tube bacitaysin
1 tube Burts bees lip balm
1 tube Neutrogena hand cream
3 3x3 gauze pad
3 2x3 non stick gauze pad
9 alcohol swabs
2 sterile eye pads
2 band-aid knuckle bandages
1 large band-aid
1 bag Moleskin
12 benadryl tablets
12 Imodium AD tablets
1 azithromycin ("Z") pack
1 first aid pamphlet
It usually has a large irrigation Syringe (10 or 12 ml) but I grabbed it for my wife's car and need to replace.

Best to make your own imo.
But if you want the pre made ones, this guy's are pretty good.

You may also want to get a skin stapler and possibly a small dissection kit that comes with a few scalpels, picks and what not, and a small suture kit. Keep a folded up page that reminds you of how to use those tools. Also train with it.
I added those to my kit and I actually had to use a scalpel and tweezers to remove a deeply lodged splinter in my leg. A lot better than using my dirty knife.
