Proof is sort of important though wouldn't you agree? If we could just accuse people or businesses of being guilty and that made them guilty we wouldn't really have any freedom at all as you'd be subject to the fanciful whim of anyone who wanted to accuse you of anything at all.

Edit: by the way if there is concrete proof that the US government made Twitter ban Trump, then by all means I'll take a different position on this, but until then it's just a private business making business decisions.

Retarded take.

Privately owned businesses don't owe you shit. If they don't want you there they can ban you for any reason. Don't like it, start your own site. Trump did with Truth Social. You don't see me complaining about him banning Democrats of Liberals there do you? No, because it's a privately owned site, they can ban anyone they want.

If the people controlling Twitters Ban machine are complicit with the ideologies of the people presently running the show in Washington, no one needs to "force" anyone to do anything. Twitter simply performed as one cog in the machine that is dramatically changing the Country I grew up in. Facebook, Washington Post, NPR, MSM and more are components of that machine as well. I fear it is perilously close to being too late to save the Republic from the insidious movement that we are only now waking up to. It did not start just yesterday. Shame on us for for being complacent for so long. JMO

EDIT: Then there is stuff like this-
"Coordination between the White House and Big Tech doesn’t stop with Meta. Recently, author and former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson was deplatformed by Twitter after White House officials explicitly requested his removal. After release of the whistleblower report that revealed prevalence of corruption inside Twitter, and considering Twitter’s long history of suppressing dissidents, it is no surprise that Twitter management is willing to take orders from Washington.

These recent stories have provided lawmakers and ordinary Americans alike with hard evidence that this censorship enterprise is a coordinated effort to weaponize Big Tech against the American people."

The same logic applies. If you want to bake a cake, then bake it. If not tell them to leave. Nobody owes you their services. My personal likes/dislikes are unimportant. Private entities should make those decisions.

100% this.

I think twitter sucks, I don't have an account there and never will. This decision was made well before Musk bought it, and it doesn't change after he bought it either. Twitter is trash.

They can't destroy what wasn't there. Twitter was *never* a free speech platform.

We do agree on the bottom sentence though. Though, I disagree with the severity you imply. Do I stifle free speech because I won't let anyone post any signage they want in my yard? By your definition I'm violating free speech principles too.

If you put a bulletin board in your yard that's open to the public, but you remove any postings you disagree with, then yes, that is violating the principles of free speech.

If the board is intended for a single topic and you just remove off topic posts, it is not. But if you remove *on* topic posts merely because you can't refute their contents, then yes, you are absolutely anti free speech.

Opinion | Twitter Becomes a Tool of Government Censorship

Alex Berenson was kicked off the site at the White House’s urging. That’s a violation of the First Amendment.

Elon Musk | Creating X, the everything app | "WeChat is actually a good model, it does everything."

Here's another video of prophet for profit Elon Musk being interviewed praising China's social credit system app known as WeChat and looking to either turn Twitter into something similar or creating a brand new [X] application entirely from scratch. In the words of Musk himself:

"Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app."

Those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear saw this one coming the moment they placed Musk in the picture and was seen by many on both sides as some sort of 'savior' for free speech in big tech.

The psyop is as evil as it is deep.
